Editorial Reviews

It's an undersea adventure in Cleopatra's erstwhile capital: Alexandria, Egypt, where marine archaeologists are frantically salvaging mysterious stone ruins from the harbor floor. Their remarkable finds offer tantalizing clues about the long-lost seventh wonder of the ancient world, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, built by the Greeks in 280 B.C. and destroyed by an earthquake in 1375.

This program explored the possibility that remants of the old city of Alexandria were still within reach, just underwater. A team of divers explores the murky waters off Alexandria and finds many tantalizing artifacts, including some which may belong to the Great Lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world! Good archaeology program!
