Product Description

You’re about to read the world’s first black and white novel!

Dr. William Raven has a rare disorder of the central nervous system (achromatopsia), which distorts his vision. A devastating color-blindness. Since birth, everything he’s seen looks like a strange, black and white movie.

The Past. Two years ago, Raven lost his license to practice medicine. The reason? Stephanie Lane, the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. A simple face-lift. But something went horribly wrong. On purpose!

The Present. Enter a mysterious femme fatale. Her goal? To have Raven perform plastic surgery on her. Make her look exactly like the real Stephanie (deformities included). Her motive? The real Stephanie’s married to richest man in New Berlin.

Who’s stopping them? An overprotective, sexually jealous husband and Stephanie’s “friend,” a bizarre, Marilyn Manson-like, ex-musician-turned-private-detective, named Lizzie Lennon.

The Place. Imagine Mardi Gras, Carnival, and Studio 54 all rolled up into one. A smorgasbord of sex, drugs, masquerades, and claustrophobia. Then, transplant that atmosphere into a spaceship the size of the Titanic, which takes tourists around the moon and back, like some weirdly futuristic Carnival Cruise vacation. The hook? A very high price tag. In more ways than one. Only the ultra-rich can afford this get away. And, since the ship is traveling through space, it conveniently remains outside the jurisdiction of any country. No laws, no prosecution, no taboos.

Will Raven’s vision problems prevent him from getting the girl, getting his medical license back, and avoid a murder rap?

3.0 out of 5 stars Feels and Reads like a 1950's Noir, March 30, 2010
This review is from: Novel Noir (Paperback)
Novel Noir is an intriguing fantasy-mystery with more twists than John Edwards marriage. Do you like novels with deep character development, snappy dialogue, plot twists galore and dark comedy? Novel Noir will satisfy your needs with characters like Sir Hubby, Stephanie Lane-Pryor and the Raven transporting you to a 1950's environment. It reads "black and white" but feels like color with the engaging writing that sucks you in like your favorite TV show. It is a great novel to read with your spouse. It will spice up any marriage good or bad.

Faulkner has plumbed the inner depths of his super ego's psyche

to keep you laughing, wondering and guessing.
