great resource,

This review is from: 2000 Novel & Short Story Writer's Market (Novel & Short Story Writer's Market, 2000) (Paperback)
This is great. I have the Writer's Market which is good for general publishing, but doesn't really highlight the novel or fshort story in the way this book does. This offers all the small presses, large presses, the lit mags etc. as well as awards offered throughout the year. I use it all the time.

The Right Market Book for Fiction Writers,
By
This review is from: 2000 Novel & Short Story Writer's Market (Novel & Short Story Writer's Market, 2000) (Paperback)
One of the first thing an aspiring writer hears is "Get the Writer's Market" from Writer's Digest. This is good advice for anyone who wants to sell their work. The problem is - too many people think there is only one 'Writer's Market.' The big one is great for someone trying different types of writing, including magazine articles or nonfiction books. But for FICTION WRITERS - this one has tailor made information. Don't sift through page after page of magazines or publishers who don't publish fiction. This book has basic guidelines for the publishers that are looking for short stories and novels. The category index makes it especially easy to use. And remember - when a new edition comes out - expect to buy that one, too.

Am I missing something!,
By STEPHEN (Roseto, Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 2000 Novel & Short Story Writer's Market (Novel & Short Story Writer's Market, 2000) (Paperback)
I ordered this book, opened it, and found a pack of hundred dollar bills stuffed inside. Upon counting my newfound wealth, I found myself 3000 dollars richer than when I first purchased this book. Is this some kind of promotional offer? My God, they'll shove anything in the books we buy these days just to make a few bucks!
