Almost a cliche of the decadance that bands rise to on any given episode of Behind the Music, Novemeber Rain (much like "Estranged") is GnR's highest of heights before the fall. A long way from the bars of LA where no one would sign them to a record deal because they were out of control. This is not something from the early days of "Mama Kin" or "Mr. Brownstone" with it's speed and grit. This master work comes with a full orchestra, Slash and Axle (mixed drink in hand) and all the trimmings. In the tradition of Led Zepplin, November Rain rises and falls, quickens and slows through it's paces, but ultimatley delivers a classic that requires "eleven" on the volume by the time you are done. For those of us who lived through it, what GnR did for us generation "Xer's", we can never thank them enough for teaching us to rock with style.

November Rain is not only Guns N' Roses' best song, but it is my favorite song of all time. Its combination of a beautiful piano intro, three amazing guitar solos, and excellent vocals and lyrics make the nine minutes you will spend listening to it for the first time the best nine minutes of your life. I have spent hours listening to November Rain, and I have relished every second.
