Almost a cliche of the decadance that bands rise to on any given episode of Behind the Music, Novemeber Rain (much like "Estranged") is GnR's highest of heights before the fall. A long way from the bars of LA where no one would sign them to a record deal because they were out of control. This is not something from the early days of "Mama Kin" or "Mr. Brownstone" with it's speed and grit. This master work comes with a full orchestra, Slash and Axle (mixed drink in hand) and all the trimmings. In the tradition of Led Zepplin, November Rain rises and falls, quickens and slows through it's paces, but ultimatley delivers a classic that requires "eleven" on the volume by the time you are done. For those of us who lived through it, what GnR did for us generation "Xer's", we can never thank them enough for teaching us to rock with style.

My husband and I heard the last minute of this song during dinner one night and it took a long time for us to figure out the title and artist. Don't be fooled by the small bit you get to preview the song! This song has 2 distinct "movements". The first is slower, but the last minute or so is an awsome guitar solo. So glad to have found it!
