The Greatest!,
By
This review is from: Now 21 (Audio CD)
1. Don't Forget About Us- (A+) Oh so now Mariah finally gets put on a NOW complication. This songs the greatest, beter than "We Belong Together," because it doesn't sample anything. (#1)
2. Stickwitu- (A+) Sweetest most beautiful song, great rythmn too. (#5) 3. Grillz- (A+) The best rap song ever, and that means a lot since I hate rap music. (#1) 4. Run It!- (A) Great dancable song, even though Chris's voice can get on your nerves. (#1) 5. My Humps- (A) Great song, but not as good as "Don't Phunk With my Heart." Fergie can get annoying though. (#3) 6. If It's Lovin' That You Want- (A+) Beautiful Carribean style song, very fun. (#36) 7. Fresh Azimiz- (A-) Another great rap song. (#23) 8.Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It- (C) Okay, kinda dry. (#7) 9. Stay Fly- (A-) Brillantly Done rap song. (I think somewhere in the 10's) 10. I'm Sprung- (C+) Kinda cool, but still dry and annoying. (Somewhere in the 10's) 11. One Wish- (B+) Pretty song, pretty good vocals too. ( Somewhere in the 10's) 12. Because of You- (A+) Beautiful, kinda sad, great music and vocals and lyrics. (#7) 13. Unwritten- (A+) Great well-written, beautiful vocals and music. (#5) 14. Photograph- (A) Great song, great lyrics and music. (#2) 15. Dirty Little Secret- (A-) It's a fun rock track. (#8) 16. Dance, Dance- (A-) Great rock rock, but a little annoying. (#9) 17. Who I Am Hates Who I've Been- (A) Brillant rock song, love the music. (#58) 18. Dare- (A+) Funky electro garage song, way better than "Feel Good Inc," despite its low charting position. (#87 I think!) 19. Honky Tonk Badonkadonk- (C) Kinda cool beat for a country song, bad lyrics though, and mediocre vocals. (#33 I think!) 20. Everytime We Touch- (A+) Uses the chorus from a Scottish song of the same name. Brillantly done dance-trance track. The dance anthem of 2006. (#10)

One of the better Nows,
By
This review is from: Now 21 (Audio CD)
Now 21 has a broad variety of music. This is probably the most diverse of all the Now CDs. Mariah Carey shows her amazing vocals in the chart topping R&B hit, Don't Forget About Us. This song is fantastic, and it fits Mariah perfectly. Stickwitu by the Pussycat Dolls has a catchy melody, and it's very enjoyable to listen to. Nelly's Grillz is a fun song to rap along to, even if youre not a rap fan. Chris Brown brings us to the dance floor with his number one hit, Run It! Chris is a good singer for a 16 year-old kid. The Black Eyed Peas hit, My Humps seems to be one of the weaker songs on the album, and some people might find the lyrics offensive. Rihanna's fun song If It's Lovin That You Want, gets people of all ages to sing along. Bow Wow's Fresh Azimiz is enjoyable for a while, but after two or three times of listening to it, it gets old. Dem Franchize Boyz's Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It has a nice beat, but it's very good overall. This is probably the worst song on the album. Stay Fly is not unique, and it's very similar to most rap songs already released. T-Pain has an amazing singing voice in comparision to his speaking voice. I think it would be better if he goes around singing all the time instead of talking. His vocals are good, but they aren't great. Ray J. could be the next Usher. His One Wish, has good vocals, and a good melody. This is a song you will want to listen to mosre than a few times. Kelly Clarkson has always been an outstanding artist. Because Of You is an absolutely flawless performance, and Kelly singing it is stunning. This is by far the best song on the album. Natasha Bedingfield has a beautiful and distinct voice. Unwritten is a very catchy song, and most Natasha does a good job with it. Nickelback and All American Rejects both give good performaces with their songs Photograph and Dirty Little Secret. Fall Out Boy singing Dance, Dance, is fun to listen to, but like Bow Wow's song, this one gets old after a while. I am new to Relient K, and what I have heard from them so far, I liked, and Who I Am Hates Who I've Been confirms it. Dare by The Gorillaz is not a great song, but it's fun to listen to. Honkey Tonk Bodonkadonk may be offensive to women, and it isn't that good of a song either. At least it brings diversity to the album with a country song, but if I had to choose between My Humps and this song for which is better, I would choose My Humps. Cascada is a great singer, and this song is one the few songs that get stuck into your head easily, and you'd be happy about it. Although there are some songs that aren't so good, Ray J., Chris, Nickelback, All American Rejects, Relient K, Pussycat Dolls, Cascada, Natasha, Mariah, and Kelly definitely make this album worth buying.

Great,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Now 21 (Audio CD)
This CD is not bad. When I first played a Marriah Carey song came on so I kind of regretted buying the CD. As the CD moved on it started to get better because a rather dancy song came on by the "The Pussycat Dolls" sang a song called "Stickiwu" came on. Other songs such as "Dirty Little Secret" by "The All American Rejects" and "Unwritten" by Natasha Beddingfield were good too. Nickleback was a little rusty throated on "Photograph" because the lead singers voice is scrachty. "Dare" by "Gorrilaz" had a great tune so over all I give Now 21 an 8 1/2. Bottom line is this is a good CD and if you wanna buy it you go for it!

I got this recently, cuz I liked most of the songs on it. I am very pleased with it. This series is great to get copies of those songs you love on the radio, but don't wanna waste money on tons of CDs.

Now this is what I call music!!,

This review is from: Now 21 (Audio CD)
As you could probably tell by my review for Now 19, my opinion of the Now series hasn't been all that high. Now that I have the Now 21 CD, however, I am starting to change my opinion of the franchise. I pretty much liked every song on here, but here are my top picks:
1) Relient K- Who I Am Hates Who I've Been: Quite frankly, this song had to grow on me, mainly cause I never got to listen to it all the way through. Now, I can't stop listening to this song. I love Relient K, not only cause they're a Christian band, but because they actually sound good. This song is just proof of that. 2) Dem Franchise Boyz- Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It: For obvious reasons, I like this song: an infectious beat, irresistible chorus. etc. 3) Fall Out Boy- Dance, Dance: I really haven't listened to Fall Out Boy very much, but will probably end up buying one of their CDs because of this song. Love this one. 4) Chris Brown- Run It: Not quite sure why I like this song, I just do. 5) Nickeback- Photograph: Another classic from Nickelback, albeit an overplayed one. Here is where the 1/2 star drop comes in, though. For reasons I can't explain, the makers decided to cut out the first part of the second verse ("Remember the old arcade..."); it really didn't affect the quality of the sound, but I am really pissed that they cut out part of a great song like Photograph. 6) Black Eyed Peas- My Humps: Again, for obvious reasons. 7) Natasha Bedingfield- Unwritten: One of my favorites from her; a bit overplayed, though. 8) Trace Adkins- Honky Tonk Badonkadonk: Ripped off on a Pastor Troy song, Honky Tonk Badonkadonk is a classic tale of a country singer staring at a girl's stuff at a bar. Probably my third favorite song on here. 9) Bow Wow- Fresh Azimiz: Love this song, but I'm not quite sure who does the one-line guest work on the chorus; I'm thinking it's Eminem, but again, not sure. Frankly, I would have loved it if they would have put some Fort Minor or new Evanescence songs on here. Nevertheless, I really did enjoy this CD, despite the Photograph incident. A compilaton truly worthy of its name, completely deserving of my 4 and 1/2 star rating.

1. Mariah Carey - Don't Forget About Us: One of Mariah's best songs
5/5 2. Pussycat Dolls - Stickwitu: The first time I heard this song, I actually thought it was Mariah Carey! Much better than the annoying "Don't Cha" 4/5 3. Nelly - Grillz: OK, a little overhyped and overplayed 3/5 4. Chris Brown - Run It!: Chris brown is one of my new favorite singers, can't believe he's only 16! 5/5 5. Black Eyed Peas - My Humps: VERY overplayed but it's a good song with a good beat that everyone loves. 4/5 6. Rihanna - If Its Lovin' That You Want: I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS SONG! 7. Bow Wow - Fresh Azimiz: Bow Wow is growing up! This is one of his best 4/5 8. Dem Franchize Boyz - Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It: OK song, good beat 3/5 9. Three 6 Mafia - Stay Fly: I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS SONG! 10. T-Pain - I'm Sprung: An OK song 3/5 11. Ray J. - One Wish: I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS SONG! 12. Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You: One of my favorite Kelly Clarkson songs 4/5 13. Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten: One of my new favorite songs of all time! 5/5 14. Fall Out Boy - Dance Dance: I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS SONG! 17. Relient K - Who I Am Hates Who I've Been: A great Christian song from a promising Christian band 4/5 18. Gorillaz - Dare: Who doesn't love the Gorillaz? All their songs are so quirky, especially this one 4/5 19. Trace Adkins - Honky Tonk Bodonkadonk: Extremely overplayed on the country stations, but it always gets in your head and you find yourself singing along every time! 3/5 20. Cascada - Everytime We Touch: I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS SONG! Overall, I would say this album is worth buying for the many good songs on it. NOW 20 was also very good.

THERE IS SOMETHING RARE ON THIS CD !,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Now 21 (Audio CD)
THE SURPRIZE ON THIS CD TO ME WAS THAT THERE IS A MARIAH CAREY
SONG ON IT. I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO MARIAH CAREY SINCE 91`. AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN HER ON A COMPILATION CD OUTSIDE OF SOMETHING MADE BY MTV OR VH1. MARIAH CAREY IS LIKE MADONNA & PRINCE AND NEVER PUTS HER SONGS ON A CD UNLESS IT HAS HER NAME ON IT.I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW HOW THEY GOT HER TO DO IT. {NOW 21} IS VERY HEAVY ON THE R&B/HIP~HOP SIDE WHICH IS GREAT BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IS RULING THE AIR~WAVES. EVERYONE FROM THE BLACK/EYED/PEAS TO NELLY,BOW WOW,MARIAH CAREY. THE NEW VERSION OF THE SPICE GIRLS:{PUSSYCAT DOLLS}. AND THE NEW MULTI~GRAMMY WINNER {KELLY CLARKSON}. AND IF YOU ARE A FAN OF ROCK;YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH NICKELBACK.THERE IS THE TECHNO/NEW~WAVE TYPE SONG:EVERY TIME WE TOUCH BY:CASCADA;THEY ARE NEW TO ME. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THIS 4 STARS IS BECAUSE OF THE COUNTRY SONG BY TRACE ADKINS.WHY DO THEY PUT COUNTRY SONGS ON {NOW}. IF YOU LISTEN TO THE RADIO STATIONS OR MTV & VH1 THEY WILL PLAY EVERY SONG ON THE CD EXCEPT COUNTRY;IT JUST SEEMS OUT OF PLACE. IF {NOW} WANTS COUNTRY THEY SHOULD DO A CD WITH ALL COUNTRY.NOT MIX IT WITH RAP & ROCK.OUTSIDE OF THAT [NOW 21] IS ANOTHER GREAT CD TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION OF THE NOW SERIES. [NOW] PUT THIS CD IN YOUR PLAYER AND TURN THE VOLUME ON MAX! {TONY~TONI~TON`E}/[SYRACUSE,NEW YORK]

Hashed songs :-l,
By
This review is from: Now 21 (Audio CD)
This is a good compilation - but - you must remember that the majority of these songs have been played and played and played and played over and over and over on the radio to the point of exhustion. Who wants to hear these still once the radio is switched off. The collection is great but the amount of times a human can possibly hear the same songs over again without jumping off a cliff is not endless.

Now! 21, It's A Good One.,
By Love4Laura (West Mifflin Pa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Now 21 (Audio CD)
We've waited longer than usual for Now! 21, usually Now! Cd's are released in March, but there was Now! #1's, which was released in January(that Cd I did not review, no need to). Back to Now! 21, it's a pretty good collection this time around, much more than Now! 20, but that was good too. On 21 we have the returning artists, such as Black Eyed Peas, Rhianna, Nickelback(although they last appeared on Now! 14 with "Someday" off of "Long Road"), they appear on 21 with the #2 hit "Photograph", Kelly Clarkson make her second straight appearance, with "Because Of You"(#7), Fall Out Boy also are back with "Dance,Dance"(#9). We also have first timers, Trace Adkins, (who represence country, no Keith Urban this time, which is sort of a welcome change) "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk"(#1 country, #30 Hot 100), Mariah Carey makes her initial apperance with "Don't Forget About Us"(#1), also there is All American Rejects with the ever catchy "Dirty Little Secret"(#9, great song), and certainly not last "Unwritten" from Natasha Bedingfield, which currently rests at #6, I absolutely love this song, I have waited too long to have this song on a CD, and I finally have it. As a whole, Now! 21 is a good CD, of course there are songs that I am not going to like, but I can overlook those songs, because there are alot of good songs to balance out the bad. The CD receives an A-, which is one of the better marks for a Now! CD, in the line of 4,5,6,7,9,10,11,14,15,16,17,18,19,20 and now 21.
