4.0 out of 5 stars Best of a quarter century, January 19, 2010
This review is from: Now 25: That's What I Call Music Years (Audio CD)
This three CD set from the makers of "Now That's What I Call Music" distills the very best of 25 years onto a few discs. When this first came out, I remember a boast that the franchise had never once featured a Madonna song on any of its discs and you'll not find any on this three CD set.

What you will find are some classics that you will remember from back in the day ("Thriller" and "Ghostbusters" for me) as well as some of the newer songs on the charts these days (Witness the inclusion of "I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry).

To me, the only place this disc falls somewhat short is on the newer inclusions (i.e. Disc 3). I bought this the same time as Now 70 and was disappointed about some of the doubling of tracks. Now do I really consider "I Kissed a Girl" one of the quarter century's best - there were other songs I would have much preferred, especially trending more towards the indie rock side of things.
