A little inconsistent but still good,

This latest volume in the NOW series seems like a step down from other volumes because with the exception of a few tracks, many of them didn't chart that high. As a whole though, it's still a good listen. The last four tracks are okay, but time will tell if they break through. Here are the peak positions on the Billboard Hot 100 for the tracks.

I wrote a review under NOW 33 but it was deleted. I guess I was too critical so Amazon deleted it. Anyway to summarize, I stated that it was a terrible idea to have the last 4 tracks as basic future hit predictions. In other words, songs that have not gotten any real airplay. I also stated that putting these 4 tracks on this cd instead of proven hits was a big mistake & if this practice continued on future NOW series, people would stop buying. I just read that NOW 34's first week sales were the lowest since NOW 1 debuted in 1998 & also the first since then to open with less than 100,000 copies with 88,000 sold. I hope they learn their lesson with NOW 35 or they can expect even lower numbers.

"Now That's What I Call Rap 34",
A Kid's Review

I got this CD for my birthday because of the commercial that I saw. The commercial showed the only good pop songs on the CD. I know they do that they always do that to make people buy stuff, but this time, it was different. The few songs advertised with the CD didn't even fit in with the other songs! There are like 5 pop songs and the other 15 are rap stuff! The CD should be called "Now That's What I Call Rap 34". If you don't want to waste your money on a CD full of rap, don't buy it.

Thanks for bringing the music. Love to drive and listen to great sounds. Some I may not bother to really hear, but then enjoy later. Happy driver.

The kids like it. Those last 4 bonus songs are a waste. Theyre unknown artists. We rather have 4 radio popular songs.

My 11yr old daughter just loves the music on this cd. She says it's better to have the assorted artists than just one where you don't care for half the songs.

Pretty good... Lady Antebellum was the key for me on this one...,

I hate country music... but I REALLY like the song Need You Now by Lady Antebellum, its a great song... and its kind of got a few different mixes/versions. On KISS FM you get the pop version which THANKFULLY downs some of the country guitar twang and puts more pop styling in its place. I looked around and couldnt seem to find where to get an MP3 version of that pop version of this song... so, I eventually caved and bought this collection to get it even though almost all of the other songs I really like I already own the full CDs for. As always, Now gives a good set of songs and if you find you like more than half of them its something to consider, especially if you do not buy full albums much. Look at artists like Ke$ha, if you just kept up with Now you had most of the songs you would need from her without having to buy her album. Same thing tends to happen with Katy Perry and many others. For me these collections repeat songs I already own on 50% of them, but then also give me other hits I would never buy the artists albums. I tend to like the girl pop and dislike the guy pop in terms of album purchases but this at least gives me even more of the most popular songs in my collection and these compilations are fun to drag out in the future and remember back to the events of the year they were from.
