5.0 out of 5 stars THE Pop Album of 2000!!, November 29, 2000
By
Pat Kelly (Here, There & Everywhere) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Now 47 (Audio CD)
The US "Now That's What I Call Music" gathers under 20 hits, most of which are 6-12 months old. The UK series packs over 40 hits straight off the top of the chart. It includes the new tracks from BACKSTREET BOYS, NSYNC, BRITANY SPEARS, U2, BON JOVI, JANET JACKSON, DAVID GRAY, SAMANTHA MUMBA, BAHA MEN, NELLY, and Spice Girls. Plus plenty of great dance tracks to keep any party moving. Sure it costs more but a new Cadillac cost more than a used Pinto. Here's the tracklist:

Disc: 1 1. Rock DJ - Robbie Williams

2. Lady (Hear Me Tonight) - Modjo

3. Life is a Rollercoaster - Ronan Keating

4. In Demand - Texas

5. It's My Life - Bon Jovi

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than ever, December 4, 2001
This review is from: Now 47 (Audio CD)
The UK version of the Now CDs have been out longer than the America version, and are therefore much better. They've had more time to perfect it. The UK version isn't biased to the top 12 songs on the billboard chart at that time. The UK Now adds techno songs, pop songs, hardcore/punk songs and something for everyone. There is more of a selection, more up to date and is made for a larger audience. Much better than anything the American version can ever do!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good as Usual, but songs missing, January 24, 2001
This review is from: Now 47 (Audio CD)
These albums are always good, this one especially, maybe because the quality of songs was high at the end of last year. They feature most of the songs which were big last Autumn (Fall) and Leann Rimes got to #1 after this CD was released. But as always some songs seem out of place and many are missing. I just wish i could choose what songs would get on, now that would be fun

4.0 out of 5 stars What Ugly Colors, December 28, 2000
This review is from: Now 47 (Audio CD)
Now 47 has the worst cover color out of all the NOW CDs to date. However, the songs are still up there in quality. I do have a couple of complaints, though. The songs all seem to be hits from a little way back (maybe I'm just ungrateful about my Christmas presents :-)

Songs which I felt should have been put on the CD, and which I notice aren't on the NOW 5 CD either, are "Music" by Madonna and Walking Away by Craig David. They're really good, popular songs, but the guys who make the NOWs still didn't put it on either disc! But I'm not really complaining - Rock DJ, It's My Life, Pure Shores, Natural, Kids, Time to Burn and Who Let the Dogs Out? were really good, and I have enjoyed them immensly. Still not 100% yet, though, hence only 4 stars - keep trying, guys.

I think that now 47 is a brill CD. Its got all the latest music on it AND its double CD. Even though i don't own it myself my friend has got it and he says it is cool. So if you want to get a new CD and don't know what to get... NOW THATS WHAT I CALL MUSIC 47 is the answer.
