Got Beats? You bet they do. Got rhymes? You bet your life they do. Got variety without compromising quality? Most definitely Asamov's got it all. The beats and rhymes on tracks like 'Hookslide', Bad News', 'Suckas', 'Boom Box' & 'Help Me Sing' will leave a permanent smile on any Hip-Hop fans' face. If thats not enough they have guest appearances from the incomparable Mr. Lif, the hardcore Akrobatik, the fortified J-Live, the wordsmith Wordsworth and the captain Cassidy. This album should come with a neck brace as all listeners will immediately bob their heads to the superb mind-bending & body-rocking rhythms and rhymes contained on this expertly crafted debut album. Even the art direction from C. Salvador is intriguing. If you know whats up with real Hip-Hop, you have to get with Asamov. And Now...let me get back to listening to this masterpiece.

I never heard of Asamov but its name showed up on my recommended list and i had my buddy get it for me. This is a definite must own. Help me sing alone is worth it, its one of the best tracks in a long long time. The other standout tracks include Hookslide and Supa Dynamite wit Mr Lif. But the cd is great throughout. My other "keeper" tracks are: 2, 6, 7, 9 , 10 , 11, 12, 13 and 15.

When I bought this review I was getting real tired of the whole neo-soul hip hop sound, but I figured that I would pick this one up just to have in the collection. Just to be real, I got way more than I expected. This almost gets daily rotation, its so hot. The beats are A+ on 90% on the album. Lyrics on point, keeps you listening. The sound has that authentic underground feel that heads love without going overboard. Think Perceptionists or Little Brother with equal, or better production. If thats enough, just turn on your radio and contrast.

You wasted enough time, now buy the album...

Dope Hip-Hop. Nice beats. Nice rhymes. These guys deserve a few spins on Hot 97.

a very solid album from 2005 that i just picked up on a whim after reading a review, rooted in the aesthetic of early 90's hip hop. i guess these guys are called 'the ay-bee's' now or something. whatever the name though i'm definitely anticipating their next release. these guys are in the category of groups like CYNE, giant panda, psyche origami, starving artists crew, and others who just make good rap music and are keeping that early 90's spirit alive. a purchase you wont regret if you're a fan of this type of rap.

If you are looking for true HIP-HOP, this is a MUST for your collection. Four of the Best lyrist in the game is all on one CD. Quit buying those fake ass HIP-POP albums and get the real deal. From the production to mcing its all there. Matter facts get 2 albums so when the first one is used up you'll have a fresh one in the stacks.
