Great CD! Can't stop listening to it. Bob is the most versatile woodwind player on the scene today. His soprano is impeccable---tone & intonation-- the best of anyone playing today. And he can swing hard (something that other players that also record in the pop idiom can't do well.) His compact-centered, biting but dark tenor tone can be hard or luscious. Easy Living is a good example of a perfect tenor ballad. Not a weak cut on the CD. Bob---it is time for another cd---we need more!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bob's Best Album, July 14, 2009
This review is from: In the Now (Audio CD)
Bob Sheppard may not be a household name in the jazz community, and many of those familiar with his playing label him as one of the plethora of Brecker clones. However, Bob defies his critics with this album. "In the Now" has great compositions and interplay between the band members. Bob's sound is more refined on both tenor and soprano than it had been in previous releases. If you want to check out Bob Sheppard, this is the album to purchase.
