Beta Carotene is a precursor to vit A. The body makes as much vit A as it needs from it without the possibility of getting too much vit A.

Years ago I had a green lung infection and didn't want antibiotics. I took 6 of these NOW Beta-Carotene (25,000 IU) pills at once, several times a day and my lung infection cleared up. Very cool.

Now my husband and I take these regularly at smaller doses for prevention (along with vit D and other stuff). If needed we up the dose for a day or so but we haven't been ill since.

My landlord got me started on this. IT is suposed to be good for prolonging long term eye sight and also helping the immune system. shipping was fast and the price was right.
