I bought this product for my skin to hopefully help to clear up some discoloration on my face and chest from having acne. I have been using Hydoquinone for years, but became worried after reading some warnings about that chemical that it may cause cancer.

I have not seen much improvement in my skin as far as discoloration goes, but I intend to at least use it for 6-12 months before I expect to see improvement as I am deep brown skinned and it is supposed to take longer on darker skinned individuals.

The reason I gave this a four instead of a 2 or 3 is because I am not totally disappointed in this product. When I was in my twenties and thirties (I'm now 44) I was very athletic and because of that I often wake up with pain in my knees and I have sciatic nerve pain as well. I was taking Glucosomine which helps my knees, and I was putting up with the sciatic pain. Sometimes I couldn't even stand long so I would squat if I had to wait for my bus to get to work or wait in line at the store. People would stare at me, but squating helped relieve the sciatic pain. One day I was in so much back pain after a long drive that I couldn't even lift my legs to get out of my car, so I just sat there trying to figure out what I was going to do.

I was stunned that after three weeks of taking Glutathione I was waking up with absolutely NO sciatic pain and no knee pain. I couldn't believe it. I am assuming it is the Alpha Lipoic Acid in it (50 mg). Nothing on my body hurts. At this point I am still in disbelief because I would never think that I could buy a product to treat one condition (my skin) and here it is it helped me with something I thought I'd have to deal with b/c I was getting older.

I have done some researh on nerve pain and have read that Alpha Lipoic Acid is shown to help diabetics with nerve pain. I think scientists need to revisit that study. I am not a diabetic but have no more pain.

I hope 6-12 months from now I can update this review to say that my skin is clear too.

I admit, I was pretty skeptical about purchasing this. I kept reading online that oral supplementation of glutathione is useless, as the proteins are destroyed in the stomach before they can be assimilated in the gut. It didn't make sense to me. I know that pepsin in the stomach does break down proteins somewhat, but the proteins that we eat from food have no difficulty being absorbed as amino acids, so why wouldn't this stuff work the same way (even if it is in a capsule form). I'm glad I listened to my "gut," as it were. This product is fantastic! I had been going through some pretty heavy detox for the past week (and was practically confined to my bed and couch) and thought I'd use this to give my liver a hand. Within 2 days of using it, I was already feeling so much better. My brain fog is gone. I was able to go out and get some exercise today. What an abrupt change! I couldn't believe how fast it worked. It had to be this product, because I didn't change anything else I am eating. I've been taking 3 a day (more than the recommended dosage) and am having no ill effects from it. In fact, quite the opposite! I will continue to use this for a very long time, if not indefinitely!

Also, I take 1000 mg of vitamin C with each dose of this, because I read that enhances the absorption of the glutathione.

UPDATE 1/4/12: Originally, I gave this product 5 stars but have since reduced it to 4 stars, because I've been using liposomal glutathione Lypo SphericTM GSH, and I'm having more sustained success with the liposomal form. At the time I was taking this product, I was quite ill. I did feel a big difference in energy levels initially...but the effects did not last, unfortunately. I don't know if others will have that response or not. I suspect that because I am so toxic, I needed something 'stronger,' a form that is able to passively enter the cells without requiring any energy from the body.

I've been using it for a 2 mos. now & it's good. I can see a little bit of improvement_the reason is because I am a busy career woman & sometimes I forget. So I only take it when I can remember, so how much more if I'm taking it everyday & twice a day_it would be a big improvement then. Just make sure to take it with vit. c. It helps with the absorption.

I purchased this product for about 1 month now. I am completely satisfied with the results. I have dark spots on my shoulders and I got those since I was a kid and because of the Tropical weather where I grew up from lots of sun. Using this Glutathione product helped my dark spots to vanish as I take it. I use it twice a day (but the direction says to take it just once a day) together with Vitamin C.

I am a busy person, a multi task individual, i just started taking this products a month ago now and i felt really good, it seems i am not tired. I hope tthe next thing i wanna experience is i dont have any back pain or shoulder pain. And i discover also that my skin is doing great maybe this is the side effects too.

This product has helped me to level out my energy levels.
I have an auto-immune deficiency and this product has really
helped.

I have Gastric ulcer and I used this product for more than a month and it is very gentle on the stomach, there is improvement on my body, my skin and my hair too. I become healthy with strong hair.

I like this product seems to be keeping me healthy all the time,been using it for 2 years now.

well i bought this for my acne and i noticed better skin within a week
by the time i finished the bottle my skin was very smooth! all the tiny bumps were gone and the big gross ones were gone to i just had a few dotted around .....
i didnt see too much difference on my back-acne but there was improvement
i don't recommend if you are using this to obtain white skin
i also use this with a filipino soap i bought here called likas, it is very gentle and works good and its cheap
i also take 4 capsules a day for the maximum benefit
although you can take two a day but take them at one time for max effect
this is the only stuff that works and dont try to get a cheaper one this is th ebest stuff i will continue to buy this until im 50

Glutatione that is not liposomal is very poorly absorbed in the GI tract. Dont waste money on a regular glutathione oral product. To increase glutathione levels, take NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) instead, or else go straight to a liposomal glutathione product.
