Usually works within 30-40 min. after I've had restaurant foods or foods with high contents of fat or starch. Without gallbladder I sometimes take one Pancreatin right before a meal which I know is harder to digest.

It works better than another brand I tried. Several friends tried too and thanked me for telling them about this products.

I've taken many different pancreatic enzymes, from the gnc brand to prescription creon. While creon works very well, it is also really expensive. Abbot drug company does offer a discount program on their website for a discount on the drug. You have to have your gastroenterologist fill out paperwork and fax it to them, which can take a long time to process. Anyway, long story short- THIS product from NOW is very good quality and works great for those who need it. If you know your amalyse and lipase requirements, you can easily adjust the dosage.
I ran out of creon and had trouble with the pharmacy. In a pinch, I tried this brand because of it's high enzyme levels. It worked perfectly and I haven't gone back to spending 500$ each month for creon since.
