I have had lupus-induced IBS since I was 12, and in the 9 years since, I have tried every IBS medication that has been on (and pulled off) the market. I finally gave up and decided to just live with not knowing when I was going to be in pain, what would trigger it that day, etc. Then I heard about these capsules from a friend, and decided to try it. Words can't express the difference these pills have made! I started by taking one capsule 2-3 times a day, and within a month, I completely stopped having any attacks, or even any of the minor symptoms I used to have. I now only need to take one capsule every day, and it still works! All of the other meds made me tired or had other side effects, or just didn't help at all, but I haven't noticed any side effects in the two months I've been taking this. If you have even minor IBS, you should consider trying these capsules. They're so much safer than the prescription meds out there, they won't make you feel foggy or tired like the Hyomax does, and they work so much better!

I read that this would help my nervous stomach. I deal with a lot of high pressure in my line of work and don't always eat perfectly and even when I do I have issues because of the high stress in front me at times. I tried them on a whim and I can't tell you what a huge difference I have experienced! I still think you need to eat properly and that this is not a magic bullet for a crappy diet, but if you have trouble with digestion even though you are conscious of what you eat, these are for you! Great product, fast acting and truly amazing. I use a lot of products from NOW and feel very confident in the quality and value of everything that they make.

As for the product itself it works very well but can leave you with some burps that taste odd but makes your bowels much more healthy. Try not to take this with other medications or supplements as it does alter your gut flora and may change how other elements are digested. I'd say anywhere from 1-3 hour space is best. Take it early in the morning before you eat breakfast or late at night before sleep preferably.

One per day is more than enough for people with rare to moderate intestinal disturbances.

I was diagnosed with severe IBS and intestinal adhesions earlier this year. After reading some good reviews about the effects of Peppermint Gel Capsules for these issues, I decided to give these a try. After all, its much more affordable than prescription meds, and of course the co-pay that you have to pay every time you go to see your Gastro for medication refills and check ups. After a recent severe flare with my IBS, these seemed to have calmed my symptoms down a great deal. The only side effect that I have noticed is a peppermint taste about an hour after I took these. I currently am taking two capsules every evening before bed. Other than that, I have nothing but praise for this product. Would def recomend to others :)

Excellent product, helps calm the stomach naturally, especially those with IBS or other intestinal issues. Definitely worth a try and very affordable.

I bought these gels because I had read such wonderful reviews on them. I have IBS-C and these did not help with any of my symptoms. They might work for others but as for me, I will keep on searching for something that helps to relieve my bloating, gas and pressure.

My wife began suffering from IBS about six months ago. She has had a lot of difficulty in finding a medication that could help her. Not only was the medication minimal in treating the symptoms, the side effects were very difficult to handle.

So I began looking into alternative solutions and ran across this product. According to the reviews it seems to have helped a lot of people. Unfortunately, this was not the case for my wife.

She began by taking two pills a day. Each time she took a pill she actually experienced an IBS attack about an hour later. The product seems to be having the opposite of the intended effect.

I am so glad I found this product ... I take 2 pills about a half hour before I eat, 3 times a day ... works great!! Lower abdomen pain is relieved, feel so much better all around. Wonderful results!!

I found this to be good for calming my stomach. I like to use them in the afternoon, expecailly ones that really drag out. They are also nice to bring to the gym. sometimes, they stick together in the bottle but I just bang them on the counter or wall and they are fine for another week or so.

For as long as I can remember I've struggled with what I recently concluded was IBS. The sharp gas pains, embarrassing bloating of the lower abdomen and constant trips to the bathroom finally got to be too much for me. I decided to take charge and do some internet research. Peppermint oil seemed to be the most common cure I saw, so I decided that would be my first attempt at a remedy. I went with Now Peppermint Gels because of the glowing Amazon reviews.

I've been using this for a little under a week now and it's been incredible. The gas has been reduced considerably and my trips to the bathroom seem to have been cut back. When at a restaurant, I no longer worry about what I'll feel like when I stand up in deciding how much or which foods to eat. I did see somewhere that peppermint oil only works in 1 out of 2.5 cases of IBS, so I do consider myself somewhat lucky to have experienced this great change. But either way, I say it's absolutely worth the $10 to take a chance. I also need to add that even though I've only been taking this product for a short time, I don't think I'm experiencing a placebo effect. I've taken products before that I've expected to do great things for me (e.g., vitamin B-complex for energy), which from the start did nothing.

In sum, I whole-heartedly recommend this product to anyone who thinks they may be experiencing IBS and I will continue to order it for the foreseeable future.
