4.0 out of 5 stars Pooperific!
This product is basically tasteless and easy to eat. I even kind of like the texture. If you mix it with water and weight it will turn into a kind of gel. It does have some tiny little leaves or something in it, but that seems harmless.

It works very well. Keeps you regular. It really eases IBS or hemmorhoids. Makes you feel full. Supposedly helps...

2.0 out of 5 stars IS NOT ORGANIC !
FALSE ADVERTISING - The picture shows a a product labled "Certified Organic", the product that arrives isn't. It's the same brand but without organic certification. Organic isn't mentioned anywhere on the label of the product that arrives. FALSE ADVERTISING :(

The best part about the whole psyllium husk is that it seems safer than the powdered stuff. I've gotten some really bad cramps and rock hard doodie from the powdered stuff. You have to be really careful to get LOTS of water with that stuff. The whole husk doesn't seem to cause that problem for some reason. Even if I take a lot larger dose.

5.0 out of 5 stars All I can say is a great product!, May 23, 2010

I was diagnosed with Celiac disease about 4 years ago. Not being able to eat whole wheat items it became very difficult for me to get all on the fiber that I wanted and needed in my diet. I started researching to find out what I could eat or take to suppliment for lack of these items. I came across this item 3 and a half years ago and have been using it ever since. I add it to my breakfast be it oatmeal or cream of rice or just mix it with juice! It helps keep me full and keeps me regular! This is a great product! I love it!!! I use to buy it at all natural chain stores but they are very expensive! I started to look online and was estatic when I found it for a fraction of the cost! This is a great product I can not rave about it enough! Thanks to the makers for allowing it to be at such a good online price. Worth the cost and short wait for a fairly quick delivery! Love love love love this product! Good luck

Great product and excellent if added to healthy fruit smoothies because it's tasteless and because it's rich in fiber it feels you up and kills sweet cravings. Great for overall cleansing and well being.

5.0 out of 5 stars No Sugar Added!, November 24, 2009

I buy this for my horses to help prevent sand colic. So I need it in bulk and without additives. If any in my animal, or even human, family needs "roughage", I can add what I want.

5.0 out of 5 stars easy way to slip fiber into the family diet, August 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am able to drink or eat stuff similar to tree bark to get fiber in my diet...my wife and 3 year old are a little more finicky. I mix this with my morning protein shake and it's great. You do have to drink it fairly quickly because it absorbs a lot of liquid and floats to the top creating a thick layer similar in consistency to tapioca.

For my wife and child, I slip a scoop of this into the family dinner. It mixes great in hamburger meat (hamburgers, meatloaf, etc) and can also be cooked in the rice cooker with rice and pasta. I've also made brownies, cookies and even oatmeal with this in it....and they never caught on.

Next, I plan to soak some in milk and try it in a batch of home made ice cream.

The husks do give a bit of a "brown rice flavor" to food and drink that doesn't have enough flavor to mask it. I personally like the flavor, and actually like mixing it in plain low fat milk for a nice end-of-day adult beverage with a little Bailey's or Kahlua.

The 10 pound bag is a little intimidating, but it is VERY easy to keep a small container in the pantry, while the rest stays sealed in the re-sealable original bag for refills.

They taste like sand but are the best working fiber I have found. It is all natural and has no sugars or other things that your body doesn't need. This is the only fiber I will use and the price was the best anywhere. You just have to get accustom to the taste. I will buy more when I run out.
