My Daughter Loves This Book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Now I Know My ABC's (Spiral-bound)
I bought this book for my 5-year old daughter who kept telling me she wanted to learn to read. We have spent hours having fun with this book! She was ready to start stringing sounds into words, but now that we've been working with this book, she's actually beginning to READ. She spells words with the magnetic letter tiles and practices writing them on the dry erase lines. The beauty of this book is that it is so versatile, you can use it for those who need to work on letter recognition, and those who are beginning readers. I liked it so much I bought one for a friend!

Effective and Entertaining,

This book is chock full of activities and will keep your pre-school and /or kindergarten child occupied for hours. It includes a rhyming riddle and a clever magnitized board on which to assemble a puzzle for each letter of the alphabet. I loved that the author gives suggestions for three different ability levels. As a teacher this book definitely will be part of my phonemic awareness program.

I got this for my daughter when she turned three. She is now four and still loves to get it out to practice her writing. She will sit for an hour working through the pages. It has been a great help for her writing skills.I also recommend Now I know my 123's.

A Great Learning Book,

My Mom bought this for my then 2-yr-old daughter. We played with it then, but now that she is almost 4 we are really beginning to learn with it. She had trouble tracing letters in her other workbooks but was able to trace without trouble in this book. She now recognizes more letters than ever before and it is all starting to "click" because of this book. It's great!

This one is a keeper...,
This review is from: Now I Know My ABC's (Spiral-bound)
I bought this book to encourage my 4-year old son to begin letter tracing. He already knew his alphabet by sight, but I couldn't find anything that interested him...as far as being able to write/trace the letters. We have several wipe-off marker type books. This is the only book that has captured his attention long enough to want to trace the letters. He likes that the wipe-off marker that is included has an eraser tip. He also likes all of the puzzle pieces and letters that came with the book. They are fun to dig through while he tries to find the matching letters to go with each picture. It's like having a treasure hunt.I like that there are so many different levels of learning in this book, and it really is just a lot of fun! I wish I had one when I was little...

Ingenious!,

We have dozens of ABC books on our bookshelves, and none has captured my son's (or my) attention quite like this one. The rhyming riddles are ingenious, and accompanied by the 4-piece puzzles, they make this book one of the most engaging and innovative teaching tools I've seen. Highly recommended!

I bought this for my 2-year-old even though it is for slightly older kids. There are several ways to use this book for different levels of learning. Right now we just read it for letter recognition, and she enjoys the puzzles. It also helps with learning to read and write as well! This is a great book that can be used for years!
