Joe Sample just released a new version of "When your Life was Low" but Randy Crawford's soulful singing of it is far superior, as is the Fender Rhodes work of Sample here. The CD is worth the price for this one cut.....the song is getting a lot of airplay now (9-99) but this LP is well worth listening to... what a voice..

Early Randy that is hypnotic in the mood it sets. "One Day I'll Fly Away" features the Crusaders at their best. Best listened to with the lights down low.

Classic Randy Crawford.!!...This is definitely a must have for all Randy Crawford and jazz fans alike. Joe Sample found a winning voice when he discovered this vocal talent. From her soulful sounds on "Same Old Story" to her mesmerizing voice on "One Day I'll Fly Away" sends you off into another world.!! And who can forget the ever popular "Last Night at Danceland" and the timeless title track . This is without a doubt my all time favorite of jazz diva Crawford.

Randy Crawford has always been a Favorite of Mine very very Underrated to me overall.:One Day I'll Fly Away&Same old story really Hit Home.together with the Crusaders Vibing with Her you can't go wrong here.
