5.0 out of 5 stars not stale , but incredible good!
T.Y.A. Now is not stale, but absolutly suberb,. Joe Gooch is a young, and very fine guitarmaster, He brought T.Y.A. back a lot of the young generation, I see it on many live gigs in Austria and germany. Together with the well known experience from Leo/Ric and Chick, Joe Gooch shows in "NOW" his amazing guitarwork.
The man from Wales is one of the best guitarplayers...

3.0 out of 5 stars Ten Beers After
I really do appreciate the fact that the talents of original band members are on display here sans Alvin Lee. I enjoy much of the music. Joe Gooch is a talent in his own right. To me Ten Years After is Alvin Lee. To call this band Ten Years After is simply a misnomer; The Joe Gooch Band would have been more appropriate. Buy this. It is fun to listen to but buy it on...

5.0 out of 5 stars rockheavenflight - without Mr. Lee, August 23, 2005
This review is from: Now (Audio CD)
This T.Y.A. album is fantastic. Leo/Ric/Chick and the young, but incredible amazing guitarman Joe Gooch shows how good they can be without Alvin Lee.
In Europa nobody cry for Alvin Lee, because the audience can see on great summerfestivals a unbelievable Live performance of this phantastic T.Y.A. musicans. The "Now" CD is their visitcard in a new successful ära (200 live gigs in one year) and the boys are on a breathtaking " ROCKHEAVENFLIGHT" in wonderful colours -without Mr. Lee, what shalls!
(I don't listen to the moaning of a few petrified old white hair people.
Look in the future - the time is mature - and listen to Joe Gooch - it's clear to hear who the better of both is! )

5.0 out of 5 stars Loud and powerful, August 17, 2004
This review is from: Now (Audio CD)
Ten Years After "now" without A.Lee is a loud, stormy, but powerful Blues Rockalbum. A real good one. Please enjoy it, we in Europa knows the band also Live, the new line up is first class. Super! The rolling stone magazin write:" Joe Gooch, the new T.Y.A. guitarfrontman is a speedfinger, he knows what is to, with the power of Jeff Healey and the virtuosy from Joe Satriani." PERFECT!!

This guys are still the best. Leo Lyons is a 62 years old frantic bassman on stage, and nobody can beat him . And Joe Gooch is together with this old first class Woodstock veterans
a day and night dream. Now is Wow!!! Hotest Live band I`ve ever seen!

5.0 out of 5 stars Once of the greatest T.Y.A. studioalbums, July 29, 2004
This review is from: Now (Audio CD)
The album T.Y.A. Now is one of the greatest studioalbums from this band. O.K. Alvin Lee is not playing on this Album, but what Leo Lyons. Ric Lee and Chick Churchill together with the New Guitarman and Singer Joe Gooch can show us, is a perfect Rock/Bluesalbum, very modern, powerful and very, very tasty. The songs are all first class and Joe Gooch on guitar is NOT AN AMATEUR, he is ABSOLUTLY TOP And he knows what is to do.
For me, this is a six stars album from a new born SUPERBAND, and I love it.!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars this is great!!, October 20, 2005

although the purists may turn their noses up at the group without alvin lee, but really, this cd rocks!! it's one of the better releases i've gotten in a long time. though not as bluesy as their earlier material, this is much more rock oriented and accessible. joe gooch certainly can hold his own with the axe. i don't think there is a weak track on this cd. add to new material, there are 2 live songs, "love to change the world" and of course, "going home." both performances are excellent. i highly, highly recommend this cd for anyone that likes to rock.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rate the music! Great CD!, August 11, 2005
This review is from: Now (Audio CD)
It just bothers me when people rate an album according to the names of the people that plays on it rather than the music itself. Alvin Lee is not here and that's his problem but the other three original TYA original members desmostrate that they can produce and write great music. This is an excellent album, and deserves to have the TYA name. Great music, great hard rock blues, a typical TYA album. I do love Alvin Lee but if he doesn't want to be part of TYA it doesn't mean the band can not continue. You still have Chick Churchill, Leo Lyons and Ric Lee, and the new member Joe Gooch does and excellent job and performs up to the TYA level. I really recommend this album for the music. Let the music do the talking!

5.0 out of 5 stars TYA Fan of 36 years chimes in, December 3, 2005
This review is from: Now (Audio CD)
It's early spring,1970.Im sitting in the Spectrum,Philadelphia,PA,attending my first concert.Im 17.opening the show was Woody's Truck Stop(I think, memory a little hazy, could have been Sweet Stavin' Chain, another local band of the era).Next came Mott The Hoople, and then TYA.I can still remember where I was sitting. This was the only concert At the Spectrum I went to(of hundreds)where the stage was set up basically between where the basketball nets would have been for a Sixers game.I was directly across the arena, dead center stage.
Basically,my jaw was agape for the entire show.I loved the band before I got there, felt like a religous experience when it was over.Bought every vinyl Lp,every CD,then thr re-masters as they came out.I own every Alvin Lee Cd.Heard about this when it came out and thought it blasphemous of those guys to forge ahead without Mr.Lee.Heard a song on XM radio a few times and thought, hey, what's going on,these guys sound great.Bought the CD.I'm totally blown away.Evey song is great. The new front man is a blistering guitar player, and at times even conjures up the aura of Alvin without copying or imitating.I'm now going to buy the live cd that preceded this one. This is the best cd I've heard all year.It ranks among the best TYA releases.
