About the Author

Bonnie Hopkins writes from her home in Spring, Texas. She is the author of Seasons, a successful novel, and is a retired management and marketing specialist. A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Bonnie has a beautiful daughter and two grandchildren.

More About the Author

Bonnie Hopkins is a retired Community Relations Consultant who resides in the Houston, Texas area.
She is a graduate of Arkansas A.M. & N. College, Pine Bluff, Arkansas (which has since become the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff).

She is mother, grandmother, godmother, prayer intercessor, encourager, teacher, mentor, helper, friend and writer.

Writing is Bonnie's second career, and no one is more surprised than she, that God has called her into a writing ministry. But she does know why, and her writing poignantly reflects that. She writes from a foundation of Christian principles from the Word of God, life experiences and observations. Her stories are about real, relative life issues that readers easily identify with. She is driven by a heartfelt desire to encourage, inspire and motivate others to keep looking to Jesus, who is the Author and Finisher of their faith. Her stories ring with the message and the assurance that when God closes a chapter in our lives, we can trust Him for a new beginning because in Him there is a future and a hope.

In addition to writing, and the numerous tasks associated with a writing career, Bonnie serves in her church, volunteers, and reads. One of her most fulfilling endeavors is as mentor and coach to a group of aspiring writers and others who just want to be inspired to pursue their God-given gifts.

Bonnie's debut novel, "Seasons" was released October, 2005, and has been a blessing to countless readers - many of whom admit to reading the book over and over.

She expects no less from her recently released novel, "Now and Then, Again".

I couldn't put it down and finished it in 2 days (nothing got done for those 2 days because I was so engrossed in this book)!

Every scripture reference and prayer uttered was like an invitation from God for every reader to lay all your burdens on Him.

This was an excellent read! I am 24 years old and my life right now is not as nearly as exciting as Vann's midlife drama. A God fearing-middle aged-never been married-or had kids-Christian woman retires ending a 30 year career just to pick up a whole new life. Just when she thinks it's time to kick back and relax so many new, exciting, irritating, and traumatic things happen in her life. This is an inspirational book that takes you through every emotion you can think of. This was a great read. I couldn't put it down and finished it in 2 days (nothing got done for those 2 days because I was so engrossed in this book)!

This is a great book. My book club is reading it now because I recommended it. I thought her book "Seasons" was good, but this one is better. It improved my prayer life and my forgiveness of people.

I've read Ms. Hopkins book "Seasons" and was glad to see that she had written a new book. This book was truly fantastic. If you don't God, by the time you finish this book you will. There is nothing greater than the love a good God-fearing man and Vann had that in Mitch. They had some trials and tribulations that would make the everyday person pull out their hair and give up. Not in this book. God was the stronghold. His foundation had been given at and early age and Vann always turned to Him for guidance. Even when she had to put up with a mother that didn't deserve a dime from Vann, God was able to reveal that His work needed to be done and Vann was the one to do it. You are going to want to hurt quite a few people in this book and at times wonder what in the world was wrong with Vann that she allowed people to run over her, but the bottom line is that God Is. Ms. Hopkins keep up the good work and I look forward to your next novel.

I never imagined what a fantastic find this book would be. I bought it some time ago but just got around to reading it. I could have kicked myself for not picking it up sooner, although part of me is glad I saved it. Like another reader stated, it makes you want to read it over and over. The author has a way of making you feel as though you are a silent witness to all that went on in the story. I found myself taking sides, liking and disliking certain characters. Never have I been so involved with a story. I wanted to jump ahead just to ensure things were going to end the way I hoped. I laughed so hard my husband couldn't believe I was reading a book. I also cried too. But the most significant thing that occurred was my hearing a word from God. Every scripture reference and prayer uttered was like an invitation from God for every reader to lay all your burdens on Him. I am so amazed at the perfection in the way this story was told, just a perfect blend. I am certainly hooked. God Bless you, Bonnie.

This is the first Christian book I've read in a while and I could not put it down. I saw it on a Christian website while searching for other items, read the review and found it $5.00 cheaper on Amazon; therefore I bought it for my Kindle. It is an easy read and as I said uplifting.

The strength of the main character makes you have so much faith in life. She goes through the ups and downs of dealing with family and falling in love. I loved this book. I can read it again and again!!!

Our book club read this book and we loved it. I feel the author really made you feel Vann's experiences and her words. Her prayers spoke to me an I intend to use them as inspiration and motivation. This story took me on an emotional roller coaster that I enjoyed. Will read more of Bonnie Hopkins work.
