So, Now What Do I Eat? has helped make my transition to complete vegetarian a joy! I do not have time to cook, and therefore did not need another cookbook to add to my already crowded collection. If someone wants to cook, they can choose from hundreds of cookbooks available. This book is for people looking for convenience, better nutrition and great taste. I love this book.

I don't know what the reader from Studio City was expecting, but if they'd bothered to read the other reviews of this book online before ordering it, they'd have known that it is NOT a cookbook. This fabulous reference book saves me precious time and energy everyday. As far as becoming outdated, most companies don't change product lines that often, and I would guess that the author is savvy enough to update the book the way that other reference guides are updated from time to time.

Not what I was expecting, April 6, 1998

I wish I could have seen this book in person before I bought it, but I couldn't find it in any bookstores so I bought it online. It wasn't what I was expecting. I read the reviews here and in Vegetarian Times so I thought it would be a sure thing. My impression about the book was that it was a cookbook based on convenience foods, but it turns out that it's just a directory of vegetarian convenience foods along with a short review of each. "Convenience foods" can be defined as pre-packaged foods that require little to no preparation. (Most items listed are only found in natural foods stores.) As new items are introduced and old ones discontinued, the book will be come out of date. There are several pages of coupons in the back which will help offset the price of the book, though they are largely for products found in natural foods stores.
