5.0 out of 5 stars Probably their best album yet!
Excellent stuff. Probably JSBX's best. I always play this record in my car. I recommend everybody to play the first 30 seconds of "Skunk" loudly, whenever you get stuck in a traffic jam.

Go buy it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Most seem to either love or hate this one but....
Not my favorite JSBX record but never the less still a pretty good listen. Some of the songs kick major ass and yet others are sort of half assed and lack direction. I'd recommend Orange, ACME, Extra Width and Plastic Fang over this one unless you can grab it at a decent price (which is generally the case). Not bad but not their best stuff either.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like the driving raw beat..., March 18, 2006

...of other BXs albums then this one is for you. I think this is the BX's most complete work to date. Most albums dilly with some funky beats, then some screamin' fast riffs, some talking tracks, etc. This one goes straight at you with some truly punk-inspired songs bluesy rock. Songs like R.Ls got Soul, Chicken Dog, and Hot Shot get you to first tapping foot, then bobbin' you head, then closing your eyes.. when the songs are done, you've got chills and you're bouncing off the walls. My only complaint on this album is that it doesn't end with Get Over here, but instead throws the gluey "sticky" track on the top. All in all though this is a must have for any indie rock or BX listener.

I'm not a music critic, so I'll just say that this is my favorite JSBX album. It's rock. And it's great pretty much all the way through. Have fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Less noise, more groove!, December 25, 1999

This JSBX record is a lot less noisy than the ones that came before but that doesn't mean they have lost power, no way! They are more funky, more groovy, and only with two guitars and a drum set! JSBX= James Brown + The Cramps + Beastie Boys + THEMSELVES !

5.0 out of 5 stars no need to be worried about buying this, January 22, 2000
This review is from: Now I Got Worry (Audio CD)
"Now I Got Worry" by Jon Spencer Blues Explosion is an exceptionally good album. This and "Orange" are the two best album The Explosion have put out yet. Its got great beats to party to or hang out with your friends to. This album is some quality indie rock. I think Jon Spencer brings blues and rock together wonderfuly. Its got greats guitar riffs with the occasional screaming to make you shiver with excitment. If you're in to Indie rock of any kind you should really give this a try. Another great band to look for and to listen to are Sonic Youth, they too have awsome guitar work. So in this reviewers opinion these are two awsome bands that will inspire the musician in all of you out there in Indie land.

3.0 out of 5 stars Still OK, but the worst JSBX album, June 24, 2004

After the release of one of the best albums of the 1990s 'Orange' expectations were high for the next. Unfortunately 'Now I Got Worry' did not live up to the hype and in fact is not a very good albu. Of course there are still some great songs like 'Wail' or 'RL Got Soul' which have the good old Judah Bauer riffs and hooks. The loudness and explosions are still there but the quality of the songs is not too great. Half of the album are mediocre pop songs. Thank god for all the other great JSBX albums.
