The Best, January 21, 2000
This review is from: Now You Can [VHS] (VHS Tape)
No one is more motivating than Rita Moreno -- and this is simply the best exercize video ever produced. I have been using it for nearly 10 years off and on. No matter where my motivation is on a scale from 1-10, Rita takes it to a 20. And, the exercises are easy and phenomenally effective. When I haven't exercised for a long time -- say, months (sometimes it happens!), I simply start the warm-up & toning group, then add one aerobic section at a time, usually starting at the end (where they're a little easier) and working my way forward. (that is, starting with the last segment, then starting at the next-to-last the 2nd week, etc.) Way to go, Rita! You are a heroine and role model to all of us! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, will someone PLEASE re-release this! It should ALWAYS be on sale and available to all. (I'm afraid my tape will break.)

Now You Can, April 22, 2003
This review is from: Now You Can [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I own two copies of this tape and would love to have a DVD copy. It is fun and effective. When my 25-year-old son remarked how fit I was looking, the only change I had made was working out to Moreno's tape! Workout modification: I wear small wrist and ankle weight bands and use heavier hand weights.

Just The Best!, April 30, 2002
This review is from: Now You Can [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I'm fifty-three years old and have heart disease. When this tape was released I was considerably younger and was teaching theatre arts, Yoga, and aerobics. Despite the boxes full of movement tapes I own, "Now You Can!" is the only one I keep on top of the TV set, ready to be played. Rita Moreno is very real: She looks real (and beautiful), she sounds real, and she acts real . . . her smile is enough to bring me out of the worst funk, the exercises can be adapted to any age or condition, the aerobics section is actually fun (no joke), and her words of motivation at the end are honest and never fail to make me feel like I've been exercising with a friend. I don't understand why this tape was released for such a short time, but am extremely glad I've got two copies (never too much of a great thing)!
