I hate this new conceited Abby!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Now You See It, Now You Don't (Abby Hayes #15) (Paperback)
Abby suddenly cares only about herself and Simon. She isn't paying any attention to Hannah, Casey, Mason, or Bethany, and when Natalie suddenly starts acting nasty she doesn't even bother to find out why, or to help her friend. Also, she is way too crazy over Simon. I am 12 and nobody likes me and I don't like anybody. I love the old Abby Hayes, but now she's just weird. If I had a friend like her, I would be very upset about how mean she's acting. Have you noticed Simon backwards in "Nomis"? Like No Miss??? In other words, I DO NOT feel like I was missing out in the other books. I think Anne Mazer should just cool it with the crushes and make Abby more like her old self that everyone loves.

abby hayes*- - - >>not as great,
By beslie (Rockaway, New Jersey United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Now You See It, Now You Don't (Abby Hayes #15) (Paperback)
well i'm still a huge abby hayes fan but i'm still not really liking these "newer" ones. in the last 2 books abby has become interested in boys, which is fine, but has seem to lost interest in what she use to love to do. her friends aren't mentioned that much and her family is barely mentioned at all. i gave this book 4 stars cause it has improved from "its music to my ears." this one she finally quits the jazz tones and becomes more involved in writing. a suggestion for the next abby hayes books is that i want to here more about the hayes family and friends. i also want abby's adventures to be kind of like the ones in the beinning for the series!

This is a really great book! It's about when Abby's in 6th grade and there is a thief on the loose! She still has a crush on Simon, and she has a chose of either staying with the Jazz Tones to still see Simon, or join the school newspaper. She decides to join the paper, and there's so much to think about when one of her things gets stolen to! If you like adventure, this is the perfect book to read.

I love to read the series of Amazing days of Abby Hayes,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Now You See It, Now You Don't (Abby Hayes #15) (Paperback)
Abby faces something really bad going with her friends. Most of her classmates are losing their unique and special things. For instance Bethany lost her hamster key chain, Brianna lost her me magazine and cd, etc. Abby finds that its Natalie- one of her best friends' who is stealing the things. Abby and Simon (Abby's friend) solves this problem (kind of a mystery) by telling Natalie what she is doing, So Abby and Simon keep it a secret from the classnmates and Natalie returns all the stuff back.Abby is an all rounder. She has good thoughts that are almost the same as mine! This book is interesting and exciting. It has a lot of feelings and I love to read books with feelings. You should read the series too.

The not-so-amazing daze of Abby Hayes,
This review is from: Now You See It, Now You Don't (Abby Hayes #15) (Paperback)
Warning - this review contains a spoiler, so don't read it if you haven't read the book and want the ending to be a surprise.I used to be a fan of the Abby Hayes books, but the series seems to be losing its wit and sparkle with each new book, and the series as a whole seems to be going downhill. One major weakness is the characters. Anne Mazer's characters are one-sided, and instead of giving the characters more depth to add interest to them, Anne Mazer frequently changes the personalities of her characters. I was all right with Bethany's declaring independence from Brianna, for whom she used to be a personal cheerleader, but in this book she goes back to her old cry of "Yay, Brianna!" I also genuinely miss the old Natalie, who loved chemistry, acting, and Harry Potter, and didn't care if her clothes were rumpled or her socks were mismatched. I was upset by Natalie in "It's Music to my Ears," but her sophisticated attitude and clothing weren't half as disturbing as her bitterness and her sullen attitude in "Now You See It, Now You Don't." And although Simon and Abby find a way to give the missing items back to their owners without getting (spoiler alert) Natalie in trouble, I was unsettled by the fact that no one but Natalie, Simon, and Abby knows about who was stealing from Natalie and Abby's classmates, meaning no one else could give Natalie help or talk to her. I'd feel better about Natalie if she was seeing a guidance counselor or talking to someone who could help her. This new Natalie strikes me as someone you'd see doing drugs in a high school environment, and I don't like the new Natalie at all. Also, Anne Mazer's writing style is losing its charm. The little "Abbyisms" that were so fresh, funny, and witty in the first few books are getting old, worn, and over-used. I'd say to pass this one up, unless you're a die-hard Abby Hayes fan, but even the die-hard Abby fans may be disappointed.

This is a great book. And the best one of all.(Abby is now in Sixth Grade, and she already had a crush!!)Just when Abby was feeling OKAY in sixth grade, she uncovered a mystery. There's a theif in school, stealing other people's stuff. Abby planned to crack the case...until something awful occurs to her. What if the theif was someone she knew?

Bring Back a Little More Abby Sparkle!!!Well, this book was pretty good, I guess. However I miss the usual Abby Hayes sparkle (as quoted by Ms.Bunder in the sixth book "The Pen is Mightier than the Sword"). I really want a little more sparkle from Abby. After all, she isn't a Hayes family member for nothing. I want Anne Mazer to bring back more sparkle into the series. There is nothing wrong with becoming more mature as long as you don't change and become mature too much and too fast. But, the crush part I understand. I mean, I have crushes too, and like Abby, my crush dosen't seem to know I'm alive, although he is my best friend that is a guy. However, I still have my fun and childish side, and I love to write in my journal too. So, I look forward to reading more of the series and more Abby Hayes sparkle. I know that is what Ms. Bunder would want. And here's a message to that girl that says no one likes her and she likes no one. Do you have friends? Or do you mean that you don't like any boys? I love Abby Hayes, and it was a good story line and very interesting, but I wasn't too crazy about it,as I am with the other books. If you like mysteries and things like that or Abby Hayes then you will love this book.
