sad, but good,

I am writing this review for my 9 year old grandson. He is very interested in anything to do with the Civil War. This book is the first in the series he has read, but wants to read the entire set. He says "It was a sad story at some times but overall a good story to read about Thomas Adams and his sister Mary."
