Wanted to clean up some chrome parts from a 1937 radio I am restoring. I took the items to a local plating company and they recommended Noxon. It did a great job considering the pieces are 73 years old. Rust in the corners it took out very well, a few spots where the rust is well into the metal...well it can't turn back time :D

I even cleaned every screw with a toothbrush and Noxon really brightened them up nicely.

Highly recommended...

Great product to use for polishing metal but I certainly wouldn't use it as a finishing product. This stuff is pretty tough and does it's job but in my opinion is must be used in tandem with a finishing product.

As a finishing product I prefer to use Mother's Billet which is far less aggressive and gives an incredible shine. (note I wouldn't use Morther's Billet as a 1st step as it isn't aggressive enough)

This sells for about $4 at Lowes

Compared to other metal polishes I have used I found Noxon to be easier to use than many. Don't expect miracles, elbow grease is still required.

First, the odor from using this will knock you over. I thought it worked decent until I discovered something as good or better, for a fraction of the price and completely pleasant and harmless to use... Fast Orange. Yup. The hand cleaner.
Fast Orange cleans and polishes metal better and is completely benign if not pleasant smelling.

This is a good metal polish, but the added benefit is that it does a great job on floor grout! Just dampen a small brush. Better than anything especially made for cleaning grout. May not work for mold stains, but great for ground-in dirt

This review is only about using it on brass.

It works ok to polish shiny brass, but it really does great when you have the GREEN TOUGH PATINA that nothing else will work on. A lot of creams can make dull brass shine again. But when its so bad its turned green and white, only this product will restore it.

Its not fast, its not easy, but when the result must be had, it will do the job. It has a real fine abrasive that acts like sand paper and actually removes the bad brass metal until your left with the good brass metal (assuming you scrubbed enough). The abrasive is so fine it wont leave any marks or scratches on the good metal, but its just abrasive enough to actually remove the bad brass metal down until all thats left is good metal.

HOWEVER it really takes a lot of scrubbing on the green and white tarnished areas. In the worst areas, sometimes I must do a section two or three times to get the worst of it off. But at least it works when everything else fails. I use a tooth brush so I can get a good scrubbing action. And a couple of minutes on the worst areas (size of a quarter) will restore it.

It only works when its wet and liquid. If you scrub long enough until the cream actually dries, it stops working and any more scrubbing is wasting your time. But while its wet enough to be liquid, the abrasives do their work.

Another reason not to let it dry on.
If its a large piece that is too big to keep the whole thing wet, then do it in sections. Before one section dries, go rinse it off with soapy water. Then dry it, and resume scrubbing. When your scrubbing area gets too big so that what you have done is almost about to dry, then go wash it off again. re dry it, and resume.

Went out and bought this from my local chain hardware store as it was recommended by Weber to help rectify some rust spotting on my brand new $1500 S-420 BBQ grill. Took off the rust, but it still left 'spotting' on the metal. After 15 minutes of elbow grease liberally applying the product and then taking it off it looks the same. Calling Weber to see if they are going to stand behind their product and replace the defective stainless steel panel. I am adding before and after photos also.

This stuff works great. Check out the images I added of my 22" Chrome Wheels. After 6 months of not cleaning my wheels, they had a ton of dirt/grime/tarnish all over. Noxon 7 cleaned them about 98% perfect. There were a few spots that I will need to hit again and use more elbow grease, but overall, it cleaned them up beautifully.
