1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work on Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD February 18, 2013
Says it's compatible with my devices, but it wouldn't work on my Kindle Fire or on my kids' Kindle Fire HDs. The one star isn't a rating of the app itself, as I never got to use it, but I do think that buyers should not be told that it is compatible with their devices when it isn't.

4.0 out of 5 stars The spanish program I have been looking for May 22, 2013

I have been searching for a more beginner/intermediate Spanish app for my 4 year old. This one is great he knows some of the words and is learning new ones with the app. Holding back a Star because I feel the quizes could be placed better and some of the captioning is wrong.

Many other better apps out there. My daughter is in Spanish Immersion school and this held no interest and just did not make sense. Had to download several times because was stuck on Spanish as the default language.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kiddie Land/Cartooney But Good March 28, 2012

My Kindle Fire is my language learning platform. Like any language learning app, you must actually practice to get any benefit. This app is helping me learn Spanish, but alone it would be minimal. I use it in conjunction with 24-7 Spanish - Vocabulary, 24-7 Spanish - Basic Phrases, An Elementary Spanish Reader (Spanish Edition), McGraw-Hill's Complete Medical Spanish, and the Offline Translator - English<->Spanish.

Inside this app you are shown a picture with a bunch of hot spots. Find/touch the hot spots and it says the Spanish word with the accompanying Spanish/English text. It is sometime nonsensical or illogical. For example, there is a picture of a car wreck, and in the picture is a rabbit. I know I always find rabbits at the scenes of car crashes ... Another oddity is a picture titled A ride in a Rickshaw, but it is set at a fruit vendor area and you end up learning names of fruits. If you can put up with the randomly strange logic of it all, it has a reasonable vocabulary to learn from.

Bottom line is that it is helping me learn Spanish, albeit as an adjunct to my main learning tools. It's also cheap.

Now, if I can just learn to roll my R's...
