MORE (THANKFULLY) OF THE SAME, May 22, 2003

If you liked Molvaer's first two CD's, you'll adore NP3. Many of the same band members from SOLID ETHER return to make moody, ambient jazz with electronic overtones. If Miles Davis all-electric group of the 1970's was still making music, NP3 is what they would sound like. Fans of Dave Douglas, Thomasz Stanko, Bill Laswell and John Zorn should buy this release and both of Molvaer's preceding works, KMER and the aforementioned SOLID ETHER. Great music made with intelligence and passion.
