Bought today at my local walmart, I only paid like 6.99 though which is cheaper than Amazons current price. Very easy to apply and wipe off. Using a damp cloth I generously applied it since its so cheap and even in thick spots it still was easy to take off. My only complaint is that it does get in gaps and can leave white residue. A knife wrapped in a thin cloth though can usually reach, or cotton swabs also work pretty good.

I live in Galveston and just bought a replacement vehicle-- a black 7-yr old BMW. I wanted to protect it from the harsh salt-water spray that it will experience. Found this on the shelf of a local store.

It was easy to apply; easy to remove-- no buffing. I put on a little at a time, let it sit, then went back and wiped off the glaze. It was easy to remove with a cotton cloth. I'm seeing good results from this product-- smooth finish with no haze. It does create a bit of white dust-- I had to wipe off the car with a clean rag when I was done. I will have to wait to report on its long-lasting claim.

This product is outstanding. Both this product and the liquid version of this wax were rated #1 by Consumer reports so i thought id give it a try. Used the paste because i prefer them to liquid products. Goes on easy and comes off easy. I used a lightly moist round applicator pad to apply it on a somewhat sunny day about 55 degrees and it went on easy as pie. Used a couple terry cloths to remove it then microfiber cloth to lightly buff after it was removed. Outstanding results on my maroon 2005 tacoma. Super slick and super shiny look. Made my paint feel like glass and fixed all the imperfections. Just an outstanding product and i can see why It was rated the best...Ive used Meguirs gold class and liked this better. I paid $5.99 for it at a local home improvement store. Make sure car is super clean with no water spots on it. Got some on my black trim and it wiped right off after it dried with no problems. contains no carnuba so it lasts very, very long.

Overall: Product I would recommend unless you own a black car.

Pros: Long lasting protection, nice shine, can apply in sunlight, cheap, easy to find in most stores.

Cons: Smells like paint thinner - truly awful, difficult to remove/buff, leaves white residue, scratches finish when dry and hard.

Rating: 8/10

I purchased this product after an engineer - science geek - auto enthusiast, friend of mine recommended it. Before using this product, My experience has always been with Turtle wax paste and more recently liquid wax. He claimed the polish lasted longer and protected the paint better than wax. This is very important, especially in Buffalo NY (long winters, Salt/sand on the roads from october to may, not to mention it is too damn cold to go outside and wash and wax a car for 8 months out of the year). I purchased this at Target on sale for $6.99. I was originally looking for the liquid, but they were out.

I followed the directions, washed and dried my car, on a hot day in Tampa 90 degrees in the shade, high humidity. I applied the stuff to a black Acura MDX, and tried to buff it out. The application was not easy, you need to apply a very thin coat or it gets gummy and sticks in large splotches, I was worried that trying to spread the stuff took so much elbow grease, that i might scratch the paint. All in all it took about 25% more effort than Turtle wax paste, and 50% more effort than turtle wax liquid to apply.

Then the fun began.... I let the stuff dry to a haze, and started to buff it off.... and buff.. and buff... some of the thicker splotches required some serious elbow grease... again.. concerns of scratching the paint arose... and that smell....

This polish lasts the longest that I have tried (and I have tried a lot of waxes). I would not say it lasts a whole year, as the manufacturer claims, but it probably does protect for 3 or 4 months. I use it on a white car and do still see some residue (polish that i did not buff out) even after a few weeks. I think that is just because the polish is harder to see on a white car and I missed it. It comes right out after a soft buff with a microfiber towel. None-the-less, when I am done polishing, my car looks fantastic, and the shine a protection last and last. I highly recommend this product.

Easy to put on the car, easy to get off and leaves a wonderful shine and protects the finish!! Sounds like a comercial, maybe, but it really does do the job!

If you want a good shine that will last because you hate waxing your car, then this is for you. I used it and it really did almost last for a year. I would say maybe 6-8 months or so. That is pretty good and close to a year. Be sure that your car is as clean as possible, you may want to use a polish before using this, but you are probably lazy since you hate waxing your car, so you can use this right after your car is washed. If you want to do the once over on your paint, once a year, I would recommend the following: Wash your car using Meguiars Gold Class; it is an excellent shampoo and conditioner for your car. Clay bar your car. The clay bar is probably the easiest product to use. It is almost effortless. You mist a section 18" x 18" with a quick detailer (yes Meguiars has an excellent quick detailer), then you use the clay bar with medium pressure. Make about 10 passes. Then you lightly wipe dry. Your paint will be very slick and you should not feel any grit after using it. Do NOT drop the clay or you may scratch the heck out of your paint. You have to throw it out and use a fresh clay bar. After you have completed the entire car with the clay bar, you can then use a polish. Yes I know Nu finish states that it is a polish, but we will pretend it is a protectant. Use a polish (similar to Meguiars polish - yes I love Meguiars products and no I do not have stock in the company). Then you can apply the Nu finish. One reviewer said to dampen the applicator; that is probably a good idea. Do one section at a time. As with any "protectant products" if you use too much it will be difficult to remove. Since you are going to be doing this once every 6-8 months, take the extra time and effort to do it correctly. After the Nu finish, may I suggest that you use Meguiars NXT 2.0.Read more ›
