Pro = This is a very good quality and bright flashlight. This is one of a few AA battery flashlight that has an adjustable beam. I don't adjust it all the time but it's nice to set it to the size you want at anytime. Half dead AA batteries aren't good for much of anything but when you put them in this flashlight, it's still brighter than my 2C cell Maglight with a 3 Watt LED bulb and fresh batteries. Even with a half dead battery, the color is white, about twice as bright as a Maglight. So far, one half dead AA battery is lasting me over a week with about 8 minutes of use everyday. A fresh battery will make it even brighter but there's no need. The electronic circuit, the brightness and run time on this flashlight is amazing.Be aware, the beam comes out as a square instead of a circle like most flashlights, it's not a big deal, kind of nice once you get used to it. Con = This is what I didn't like, the center of the beam is a little off to one side instead of being centered on the beam. It's no big deal but would have been nice if they were able to center the light beam. The same thing happens when you drop a none LED bulb. I have other flashlights, most are not as bright as this one, 2 are brighter but they cost more, are bigger and they don't use AA batteries. This thing is small, you hold it with your fingers like a pencil. This has replaced my 2C cell Maglight, this is now my favorite flashlight and would buy it again if I lost it or but it as a gift.

I ordered this light the same time I also ordered a Fenix LD10 which is just about the same size and also uses just one AA battery. I decided on AA or AAA run flashlights due to me already having several rechargeables in that type and availability in most stores. I intended to use this attached to my shotgun as a tactical light for night confrontations but I started a new job involving the need to look into dark areas, holes and above ceiling tiles in office buildings. I figured this would maybe be more versatile for work since it can be adjusted to flood the area as well as spot beam. I love this light. It lasts on avg about 2 good days of on and off usage at work before it gets noticeably dim and I have to pop in a new rechargeable AA battery. I HIGHLY recommend buying a set of rechargeables because the regular alkalines may be cheap but it gets costly over the long run. This light seems durable and it might be useable for quite some time....or until some much better light technology comes out with affordable prices. Both lights emit a great amount of light. Fenix is a little brighter at its highest setting (of 5 modes) but also costs about $25 more and eats up AA batteries at the same rate on that mode. Fenix doesn't have the flood setting tho. Then again, Nuflare's spot beam has a square/rectangle shape to it which isn't that big of a deal to me but bugs some people. Bottom line, if you usually just use your flashlights at max output/highest energy usage like me and prefer to have a light with room flood option, then go ahead and just get a Nuflare over the Fenix. Its almost 2 of the price of 1. I haven't tested either in rugged conditions besides my blue collar job so that consideration is up to you. Also, if you don't mind using CR123A batteries (that can also be found in rechargeables), Nuflare also makes a light at 220 lumens using 2 of those batts for about $42 currently. Thats twice the lumens for $12 more if you don't mind the battery issue or already have those types.

I'm not a "flashlight" expert, but this thing is great! I use to have the Gerber Tritac and was not happy about how far is lighted up an area, it was only good in close range and for that price, $60 2 years ago, also, the button broke and won't turn on any longer, needless to say, I need and want more out of a light that I use daily. WELL, Now i've got it and at 1/2 the price!!! This little rebel is super bright for one LED and only on 1 AA battery! I am going to buy another one right now. I HIGHLY recomment this light! The adjustable beam is great also.

I am a bit of a flashlight geek and have several and frankly, I love a couple of lights in my everyday carry, the Doug Ritter Special Edition Photon Freedom Micro-Light and the Proton Pro by Photon, which I am sending for lifetime warranty repair. While waiting for my Pro to return home, I read the customer comments and decided to buy this Nu-Flare Ultra-Compact 78R91AA Luxeon Rebel 90 6W LED Flashlight as a temporary substitute. Wow, was I impressed! This thing is extremely bright. Add to that, water-resistant, well-made, focusable, uses AA batteries instead of the expensive "special" batteries and it is an amazing package. I know it lasts only one hour but that is a very bright hour. Looks like I am going to have one more flashlight in my daily carry now.

I needed a bright little flashlight for working in tight spaces and bought one of these Nu-Flare Luxeon Rebel LED Flashlight. The specs say it would run about an hour on one AA battery which didn't matter to me since a AA battery is cheap. Turns out if you don't leave it on continuosly, it'll give more than an hours worth of light. Unlike some other imported high intensity LED flashlight which loses brightness over time, this one hasn't done that yet.

Concerning the power source, one AA battery and the brightness of this product I didn't think it would last long. I was not only surprised when i compared it to the full sized 4 D cell maglites but very impressed as well. There is NO dark or black area where the light hits and when you focus the beam it can reach an impressive distance for such a little guy. I highly recommend this flashlight, it has a tail button for easy use. Worth the money!

This is a superb little flashlight. It puts out as much light as my three D cell Maglite, yet it requires just one AA cell. The LED is protected by a thick plastic lens, all of which is well recessed behind the bezel. The focus is very well engineered, without all the "rings" that many flashlights exhibit. The beam is slightly squared, but it has a great throw, but yet can be used wide-angle for close up work. The focusing ring makes the Nu-Flare slightly more bulky than the Gerber 22-80012 Infinity Ultra Task LED Flashlight, Black (I have the older CMG version for comparison), but the versatility that the focusing ring adds more than makes up for the slightly increased weight and volume. The rear mounted switch is the momentary-on type so that one can practice Morse code for entertainment. The body of the light has grooves and rings to aid grip, and the rear ring has indentations to prevent the flashlight from rolling off a table. The Nu-Flare runs a little more than I wanted to spend for a pocketable flashlight, but I am glad I ordered it. I liked it so much that I bought another one for my son for Xmas. All of the machining and coating are very well done, it is as bright as anyone could possibly need, and it uses the ubiquitous AA cell. The vendor, Exciting Products, shipped both flashlights very quickly.

This little flashlight throws out a lot of light! My first experience with the Nu-Flare Rebel 90 was when I took it out of the mailbox. My home does not have an outside light for the driveway, so I always carry a flashlight during the winter seasons. I opened the package up in my car, turned on the light, and stepped out. I remember saying "Whoa!... Wow!" The light that this little thing puts out is quite intense. I am thoroughly impressed. Many LED lights do not have enough power to illuminate long distances. The Nu-Flare allowed me to see 100 feet or more quite clearly by using the focus. I know there are some flashlights out there that are more powerful, but I know of none that pack this much power in such a small frame. I have no complaints spending 28 USD + shipping on this little gem. I would suggest using this as an every day carry item. I wouldn't purchase this as a survival light since you would most likely be looking for lower light output (which equals longer lasting batteries). This fills the role of a powerful and compact every-day light where intense illumination is needed.

right now im a deployed soldier in Afghanistan and for any soldier trying to buy a small compact flashlight thats extremely bright this is the flashlight for you. have had it for about a week and have used it a lot and still very bright. with the focus knob it helps to pin point one certain area or you can adjust it to show you a greater area. its the best flash light in my section and i recommend it to any soldier who is looking for a great flashlight at a decent price.

Size is great, performance is very good. I like this product because it uses off the shelf AAA batteries. Yes, it does eat batteries. It is so good, I am buying more of the flashlights.
