This is one of the very few items that you see on a info-commecial that really works. The other afternoon, my son and family stopped in unexpectedly. So I invided them to stay for supper. I was first introduced to the NuWave oven by my sister's boyfriend's grandfather. His grandfather needed to get rid of a lot of personal items because he was moving into an old folks home because he could no longer take care of himself. So we put his NuWave oven to use by cooking a lot of different things in it. Being a person who doesn't trust much infomercials I was skeptical at how well the NuWave oven works at first. I even saw the local news reporting on how quickly the NuWave oven makes meals but was still skeptical till I used it myself. I found that it cooked most meals pretty well and you really didn't have to watch it. You just set the cooking time and leave and come back when it's finished. I was so impressed by this that I bought one myself and used it at my apartment going to college. This thing was a life saver because I wouldn't have time to get food ready because I worked, had to do school work, and had to get ready for school. Which gives me absolutely little time to prepare food. It works well if you don't have a lot of time on your hands.

I cooked chicken thighs/legs/quarters/drumsticks, pork steaks, beef steaks, pork loins, pork chops, pork ribs, linguica sausage, smoke sausage, bratwurst, pizza (frozen and home made), frozen burritos, sasauge links, muffins, spam, vienna sausages, tater tots, salmon, tilapia, and practically anything you could think of in it. Most of the time it came out pretty good. Just make sure you turn it over because sometimes the other side of the food is unevenly cooked. It's very good for reheating certain types of food though.

Pros:
Saved time
Very convenient
Little effort
Didn't have to constantly monitor it
Easy to clean

Cons:
Sometimes the food was cooked unevenly because there is only one heat source
The dome eventually cracks and breaks (no one tells you this)
NuWave doesn't offer any replacement parts
It will not replace certain microwave items or the need to deep fry certain things
Cooking fatty foods will make it explode oil all over your plastic dome
The dome eventually gets stained and is difficult to remove
They don't offer a glass dome

*TIPS*
Always make sure you flip your food so it cooks evenly
Follow the suggested temperature power setting for the food you are cooking
Make sure you line the pan with aluminum foil so you don't have to scrub the pan

The plastic dome will slowly crack, I wish they would offer it with a heavy duty glass dome but it would cost them too much money to send you a NuWave with a glass dome. I guarantee the dome will crack first before the heating element will give out on your NuWave. But after 8 months of usage, the dome is cracked. I used this thing daily but it will not replace the need to fry chicken in a deep fryer or the convenience of microwaving food in a microwave safe container. I am now outsourcing to a glass blower who will manufacture me a replacement dome.

5.0 out of 5 stars NUWave 20326, Pro Oven, February 6, 2009
This review is from: NuWave 20326 Pro Digital-Controlled Infrared Tabletop Oven, Black (Kitchen)
This is one of the very few items that you see on a info-commecial that really works. The other afternoon, my son and family stopped in unexpectedly. So I invided them to stay for supper. Now what to serve them? I remembered I had a 4 pound pork roast, about 3" thick, in the freezer. I got it out, along with some potatoes a put the NuWave Pro to the test. I put the frozen pork roast on the 4"shelf. I cut the potatoes in half lengthwise and surrounded the roast with potato halves. The rest of the potatoes I put on the lowwer rack. Set the Power level on "Hi" and the timer at 2 hours and relaxed with the family. In 2 hours the roast and potatoes werer done. The roast was perfect, a roasted look on the outside and nice and juicey on the inside. I've also done steaks, up to 2" thick, and hamburgers that came out the same. The easy cook guide instructions are just about right on the money as far as cooking time goes.
The NuWave I bought, model 20326, comes with the entender ring and extra racks. It's well worth the extra money over the standard model. It gives you so many different option for use. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new NuWave as much as I do mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars NuWave Oven Pro Digital model 20326, February 15, 2009
This review is from: NuWave 20326 Pro Digital-Controlled Infrared Tabletop Oven, Black (Kitchen)
I purchased one of these ovens for myself and my sister after watching the infomercial numerous times. It is truly amazing to say the least. Since receiving mine for $139.99 using the super saver shipping method, I have used it almost daily and have cooked cornish hens, leg of lamb, pork loin roast, chicken leg quarters, whole duckling, toasted bagels and english muffins. Everything has cooked perfectly using the included cooking chart and have tried the cornish hens and chicken quarters frozen and fresh. It is best to thaw meats before cooking as it tastes better and saves time and energy as well. My favorite meal so far has been cornish hen cooked whole after rubbing all over with about a tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkling with McCormick rotisserie chicken seasoning. This only takes a total of 30 minutes as recommended by the included cooking chart and is the best overall $3.00 meal so far. This oven will definitely save you time and money and you'll be impressed with how juicy and grease free your food turns out. I like to watch the food as it cooks as it does so with a maximum of 1500 watts using the highest of ten power levels which is what is recommended by the cooking chart unless reheating previously cooked food. The clean up has been very easy as this model is the black and stainless upgraded model and includes the extender ring kit which would sell together for $184.92 plus very costly shipping and handling if ordered directly from Hearthware which makes the price around $200.00. Amazon.com has the lowest price including shipping that is available for this oven so you can't go wrong ordering one from them. I only wish that I had purchased one of these when they first hit the market. Thanks Amazon.com for carrying this amazing cooking appliance and offering it at the best price!!!

What a joy this is! Haven't used my reular oven since this was received. EVERYTHING cooks up exactly as required from FROZEN!
Takes some getting used to in establishing how much cooking time is actually needed as their chart & cookbooks are mostly useless.
Steaks, chicken, salmon, even baking rolls all come out tasting great and retain their juciness much more than regular oven cooking.
Put me down as being really impressed--Will probably buy a couple for Christmas presents later this year!

4.0 out of 5 stars nuwave, June 7, 2009
This review is from: NuWave 20326 Pro Digital-Controlled Infrared Tabletop Oven, Black (Kitchen)
So far,so good. We have cooked steaks, vegetables, chicken breasts and a whole chicken. All turned out very juicy, tender and wonderful. The whole chicken came out with a nicely browned crisp skin and was very juicy and tender. It was much better than those "broasted" chickens you can buy at the grocery store. All the fat just cooks off and you are left with juicy, scrumpcious meat. We are continuing to try new things. So far, we are very pleased. Clean-up is fairly easy too. It is a good idea to spray the cooking surfaces of the wire racks with a little non-stick spray which makes clean-up easier.

N.A.

I was doubtful this product was going to work, but from the other reviews and recommendations I decided to give it a try. This product is awesome! It works as advertised. It cooks meals in half the time and with half the effort of a conventional oven. I can't believe this oven cooks frozen foods to well done in only minutes. If I hadn't seen it, I would not had believed it. This product is a lifesaver for individuals who live in areas where a convention oven would be impractical. This is a must have product for individuals who don't have time to thaw and slave over an oven for food to cook. Thanks NuWave.

4.0 out of 5 stars SUPRISED, February 6, 2009
This review is from: NuWave 20326 Pro Digital-Controlled Infrared Tabletop Oven, Black (Kitchen)
At first sight, i thought, this will be another gadget for the closet, seldom used because of it's size and cleaning. We cooked ribeye steaks on the grill that were perfect and there were two left to be cooked. I followed the directions for cooking times for medium rare. They came out tough, dry, and over cooked. The next day i cooked jalepeno poppers, they were good but not good enough to live with the size of this cooker on my counter 24-7, and the "clean up in the dishwasher" had to be washed by hand.
I was ready to pack it up and send it back and was waiting for the ok since it was my husband who had to have this after a sleepless night watching the informercial.I had thawed 4 chicken breast to cook on the Forman grill, and decided to try ONE on the nu wave to confirm my findings. Suprise!! it was wonderful, i cooked the other three with different spices and found them to be tender and full of juice. The next day i decided to sacrifice (if i had to) a pork tenderloin. I threw away the boxes that the nu wave came in, i put the owners manual and menu book in a counter drawer, i made room on my counter for my new "little" oven, i went to the grocery store and purchased 5 tenderloins they had just put on sale. Realizing i had cleared the shelf, a lady asked, "what kind of roast WERE they and how do you cook them?" I then gave the ultimate compliment, a testimonial to how wonderful this tenderloin was on this cooker, how it tasted like a filet. She Knew it was true because i EMPTIED the counter of meat. She replied, "i am going to have to get one of those". IN SUMMARY: not everything was great, but the foods that were good, were exceptional! I am definately happy with my purchase and i have been using it for one month now.thanks. teresa WISH THERE WERE MORE RECIPES. THE APPLE CRISP IS REALLY GOOD AND I SUBSTITUTED SPLENDA PRODUCTS FOR SUGAR.

I bought this product after reading many reviews. I wasn't happy with it and e-mailed the company I bought if from to find out how to return it before 30 days.

This is their answer, wich I find incredible if you want to try something out and want to send it back. "Thank you for writing. The item must be brand new, never used, packed back in the original retail packaging exactly as you received it. Items not in this condition can not be accepted as a return and will be refused. If your item meets these conditions, your RMA # and must be clearly written on the return address label underneath our Company name as shown below. We always recommend using a shipping method that provides you tracking and insurance as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged enroute back to us. Please print out a copy of this email and include it with your return to avoid any delays."

Be careful if you go to NuWave's website to order as you have to give them your credit card before you check out the information.

So I'm stuck with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Used NuWave for 2 Years, March 1, 2009
This review is from: NuWave 20326 Pro Digital-Controlled Infrared Tabletop Oven, Black (Kitchen)
I have used my NuWave Oven for two years. I really do love it better than any of my other appliances - microwave included! My only problem is that the outer ring has broken (twice). However, at $15 plus shipping, it is well worth replacing.

I have used it for roasts, potatoes, hamburgers, and frozen pizza. I have baked cinnamon rolls, biscuits, and even frozen prepared cookies. They all came out fantastic, although for some items I needed to adjust time and location for the next time I did it to reach full perfection.

While I enjoy the meats and potatoes, my very favorite recipe is taking a roll of Pillsbury French bread, cutting it in half, and cooking it in the NuWave. With no preheating, from fridge to fresh bread is only 17 minutes.

IF my Nuwave ever stops working, I will definately replace it with a NuWave Oven.

I had the original nu wave and dumped it after 6 months of use because the dome cracked and there is no replacement. I received this new and so called improved, as a gift, and very disappointed with it. The control panel is great, you basically set it and forget it, however the racks are of a cheap material and don't rest properly, they wobble. Cleaning is not easy, especially when the dome gets stained, it is hard to remove, don't use a hard scrubber on it as it will mar eventually. Its made of some hard cheap plastic material, that cracks from the heat, don't put it in your dishwasher. One writer suggested wrapping aluminum foil, but it just makes it hotter on the dome. They should have used glass. The food, usually cooks well, but not all the way through and you have to turn it. I don't think the infared part of the machine does anything with cooking, there is something wrong, because with proper convection, you don't have to turn your food. Within two weeks , yes count em' two, the dome cracked again!. NuWave customer service is the pits. Don't order this through their website, as they attempt to make you buy additional units on a reduced price, plus shipping for each extra, things for it such as racks, extenders, tote bags, and if you do, there is a seperate shipping charge for each! Go with the basics here, and expand later if you like the machine, which I don't. But if you order it, order it through here, Amazon as always had a great return policy. I went back to my Deni Countertop Convection oven, which is the best!!! It heats the food evenly, made of heavy glass and super easy to clean. I don't trust ordering through infomercials. Lesson learned. Had to return it to Nu Wave, and have to pay for another shipping fee to send it back. If I get a new one back, I'll just wrap it up and give it to someone that I know won't use it for Xmas lol
