4.0 out of 5 stars What they dont tell you
I love cooking a whole chicken in the New Wave Oven. Very tasty, juicy and crispy on the outside. You've watched the TV infomercial...it looks so easy.
Here's what they fail to tell you. If you want foods to cook completely, you have to flip them over half way thru the cooking cycle. THAT INCLUDES PIZZA. Whaaa? Pizza will cook very fast in the New Wave but...

2.0 out of 5 stars nu wave oven
I bought this item the end of January and asked how to return it.
It is difficult to break down a recipe not in their book to time and heat. Some foods were ok, others not so ok.

This is the reply I got to return the item. "Thank you for writing. The item must be brand new, never used, packed back in the original retail packaging exactly as you...

Here's what they fail to tell you. If you want foods to cook completely, you have to flip them over half way thru the cooking cycle. THAT INCLUDES PIZZA. Whaaa? Pizza will cook very fast in the New Wave but if you dont flip it, your dough can be undercooked or not cooked at all. The turkey in the ad is way too large for the NW oven. However what it does best is cook fast without heating up your house. Cleaning is a bit messy but not a big problem. Someone else complained the "glass dome" was too heavy....what glass dome? The New Wave Oven is made of modern/safe plastics. I like this product and recommend it to anyone who wants great meals with less fat.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cook the frozen chicken just as advertisement described., November 3, 2009

My mother bought the NuWave Oven last year. The decision was based on consumer report and my sister-in-Laws' brother experience of great roasted chicken made in the oven. Last thanksgiving when I visited with my mother, we had our first try on the roasted chicken. The five pounds chicken was frozen and we did not know what to do. After watching the DVD, I still have no idea how to use the oven. Finally we had to call the 1-800 number to get help to set the proper temperature. I would have to say the quick reference sheet is too confusing and hard to followed. I rubbed the chicken with salt and pepper, stuffed it with wadges of apples and oranges, then started the oven to roast the chicken. We had some trouble to flip the chicken over and have to use two extra long chopsticks to manage this. It was done a little over an hour and very juciy. My father usually eats very little at lunch time. He liked the chicken so much that he took a quarter of the whole chicken. A lot of fat dripped from the chicken. We had a very tasty and healthy lunch that day. However, the clearing up was a lot of work because the glass doom was too heavy for my mother. Thus far we had only use it once due to the trouble to clean up afterward. Till this day my mother still marvels at the fact that we can cook a frozen chicken in such a softtime. I only wish the qucik cooking reference sheet is clearly. This is why I only give a far stars instead of five stars rating.

I purchased my Nuwave Oven 4 months ago and use it a lot. I love the convenience but the rack is rusting. It says that everything is dishwasher safe. Guess not

4.0 out of 5 stars A good quality unit, November 23, 2011
This review is from: NuWave Oven Black Digital Model
I had my Nuwave oven for 2 years now and here are the pros and cons of the unit:

Pros:
- Can be used every day.
- Very reliable.
- Cooks food extremely well.
- Convenient to be used multiple times a day.
- Does not use halogen bulbs which can burn out in 3 months @ $15 a pop.
- Cooks food as advertised.
- Very quiet when on.
- As indicated, does not heat up the kitchen.

Cons:
- The plastic dome begins to discolor and crack after 2 years of daily use.
- I was charged almost $30 just to replace the dome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, December 14, 2009
This review is from: NuWave Oven Black Digital Model
I just received my new oven a couple of days ago and love it! The dome is plastic not glass. Cooks beautifully. I remodeled my kitchen last summer and have all high end appliances. I am getting teased about how much I spent (six figures) on kitchen and am using this relatively inexpensive oven!
