Product Description

Now make your Nuance Wine Finer portable by using this carrying case. Easily store your Nuance Wine Finer in here whether it's being stored, taking it to be used at a restaurant or someone else's house. His a clip to keep the case in place and the top screws on to keep wine from getting out. The subtle taste nuance of a fine red wine only comes out when the wine is thoroughly oxidized. This is easily and elegantly taken care of by the Nuance Wine Finer. In just 30 seconds you can decant a whole bottle of red wine while pouring it into the glasses. The elegant pourer filters out all sediments, pieces of cork and tartar, while a rushing sound of bubbles gives evidence of the efficient oxidizing process. The drip catcher ensures that not a drop is spilled instead the wine runs back into the bottle. A small close-fitting lid keeps any leftover wine fresh for later use. A beautiful, simple and multifunctional pourer, that completely means you never have to apologize that the wine was not uncorked before the guests arrived.

I ordered three of these as gifts because I already had one and liked it so much.
Imagine my disappointment when all three arrived without carrying cases! The sticker on each box says "Nuance Wine Finer with a Carrying Case" BOO4FVYPTC NEW. However, there is only the wine finer, no case included. If you read some of the positive reviews, clearly the case is a big selling point. I did not get what I ordered.

Cook's Illustrated rated this wine finer (aerator) as their favorite. They (and I) like that it inserts right into the bottle. Other aerators have to be held with one hand while your pour with the other. I have found the others cumbersome because a person can't very well steady a wine glass, nor elegantly place one's free arm behinds one's back while pouring. I find that it needs to placed in tightly, or you'll end up with drips on the table. Sometimes with a full bottle, I have to put the bottle upright again to increase the rate of pour. I like that it filters out any sediment. To clean, I swish it around in some soapy water and run water through it from the top and bottom to make sure all the holes have been flushed. Takes ten seconds. The carrying case is useful for storage or traveling. We conducted our own blind taste tests with six wine afficionados, and here's what we found. If the bottle was left open for 30 minutes before serving, there didn't seem to be much difference between using the wine finer or not (unless the wine has sediment). If a bottle was just opened and poured, people preferred the wine poured from the wine finer. All in all, an elegant little device.

This is a great little device that I was first introduced to at the Carmilla Winery in Glen Falls, ID, along the Snake River. This little aerator works very very well and lets the bouquet and flavors of the wine develop much better than straight out of the bottle. The carrying case also makes this little gadget easy to transport on picnics, family get togethers, etc. The carrying case is durable, though you still don't want to step on it or run it over, and protects the aerator from dirt, grim, fuzz, insects, etc. The aerator itself works as well as many larger and more expensive devices and as I said really lets the flavors in the wine develop in a rapid fashion. While using an aerator may not be as tradition or maybe even as good as using the natural aeration process and a decanter, it still works very well and does not take as long and this little aerator is one of the best that I have experienced to date.

We use this when we go to BYOB restaurants and at home.
It vastly improves the taste of the wine and makes it instantly drinkable. The travel case is essential to its portability.
The only slight downside is that you must be patient when pouring. The wine comes out of the bottle much more slowly than it does without the aerator. Also, pouring is a bit easier if you pour a sip out of the bottle before using the aerator.
I bought 2 more as gifts for each of our daughters.
Truly this is a terrific addition to any wine drinker's household, and is especially useful if you frequent BYOB establishments or go to BYOB parties.

I've used all kinds of different gizmos for aerating wine and this one is my favorite. It slips into the bottle and you forget it (be careful...a bottle filled a bit too high will cause a splash). If, like us, you usually pop half a bottle into the fridge for the next day you'll find this tool and the little cap very handy.
Does it make a difference in the taste of wine? Absolutely. I've done comparisons with this and other aerators and simply decanting and waiting an hour or longer. The Nuance gets the wine past your lips a lot sooner than decanting and it's not as complex or messy to use as some other aerators.
This version with the carrying case is very handy for travel. It goes with us anywhere we're going to be drinking wine.
Is it too expensive? Yes, it is. But the wine is also expensive and this gadget helps you get the most out of it.

This little gadget is surprisingly effective and guests find it intriguing, too. Pours well. We also like the little case it came with, which is useful not only for taking it somewhere but just for keeping it protected in a drawer with a bunch of other kitchen stuff.

This is great for the vino drinker. Its pretty simple, yes a little spendy, but the plain black is the way to go. I have many friends that have this now and we all love it. Except the stainless steel one, I have been told to avoid that, I think it rusts or something. But this one I have bought 3 times at least and it's a great aerator, pourer, and cork all-in-one. Just awesome. Buy it! Worth the $30.

Still not sure if it makes a huge difference, but is fun and a nice stopper. Get the one with the case and not the silver ball on top as that makes it taller and it might not fit wherever you're storing it for the night.
