5.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed in quantity
I think it is misleading on how many cups you get. Only received one. There are so many other deals on here, I would have never purchased just one for 8.99. My bad because I did not read it all the way through. Way too much money for this cup. You can get it in the store for under 3 dollars. BOOOOOO!

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware - Son Swallowed broken part of silicone Spout

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware - Son Swallowed broken part of silicone Spout, August 29, 2009
This review is from: Nuby BPA FREE No-spill Sippy Gripper Cup 10 Oz 2-pk - boy colors (Baby Product)
At first, my son loved this Nibby cup; but the nipple part of the silicone spout kept tearing so we had to keep buying new cups. That was fine (it was not the cost that we cared about - these are cheap), but one day when my son was 18 months, we notice the milk poured out when he was drinking from the cup. When we got to our boy to clean the mess up, we noticed the complete center part of the nipple on the spout was missing!

The whole center area of the silicone spout had torn off and was most likely swallowed.

The diameter of the swallowed / missing silicone piece was about half the size of a dime. Yes; our son does chew on the spouts - he is 18 month old.

Stay away from these cups until they fix this problem. This happened in April of 2009.

4.0 out of 5 stars This Really IS No Spill !!, June 19, 2008
This review is from: Nuby BPA FREE No-spill Sippy Gripper Cup 10 Oz 2-pk - boy colors (Baby Product)
After Two Kids I have tried every expensive sippy cup on the market, and have been dissapointed with them all. This one is only 2 bucks and WORKS!

No itty bitty pieces to clean or parts to loose down the garbage disposal, just 3 pieces, the cup, cap, and nipple. My daughter has a habit now of throwing her sippy from her highchair- no pieces come loose, no wasted milk on the tile floor.

It is great for first sippers with a soft silicone nipple and easy is to hold. It also is an easy transition from tilting a bottle back to tilting this sippy cup back. Going between straw cups and nipple cups is confusing for babies.

Bigger toddlers can use this too, they just suck on it like a sports bottle. I can see that if you have a bitter the nipple may be irresistible to chew, but I haven't had that problem.

It comes in pretty colors and isn't so pricey that if left at grandma's or a restaurant, it would break the bank to replace it.

Over all 4.5 stars, but only could choose 4 or 5. No sippy cup is PERFECT...Yet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kinda Sucks, April 6, 2010

It's not that these are bad sippy cups-- we have many Nuby cups in our house. The problem also isn't little pieces of silicone coming off as others have experienced (Good God!). No, it's that these things don't come with a lid!!! We bought the larger size so our 20 month old could have extra when away from the house, but uh, did I mention there's no lid?! So, what's the point, so she can carry a big cup of water around the house? Great. Handy. Pretty lame.

Got it couple of weeks ago. Haven't used it yet.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pieces of plastic missing from the sippy-nipple portion after a few uses, possible my daughter swallowed them, November 1, 2008
This review is from: Nuby BPA FREE No-spill Sippy Gripper Cup 10 Oz 2-pk - boy colors (Baby Product)
I purchased several Nuby sippy cups a few weeks ago for my kids. I was very pleased at the different styles, that there were no cartoon characters on the sides and the price - as well as the fact they are made out of the BPA free material. However, after just two uses, the straw cup straw is ripped open along the seam. I was very disappointed that the product didn't hold up even for a few uses! However, the sippy cups I also purchased are my major concern. The sippy portions of these cups are missing pieces of plastic - where they form the nipple portion of the sippy non-leak. My daughter does chew - however, she's used Gerber and Playtex sippy cups for years now with no problems and I switched due to the new findings of BPA. However, I am very disappointed and concerned that after so few uses, she may have swallowed pieces of plastic because this product did not hold up. I will search elsewhere for BPA free cups that hold up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Spout Collapses (and do you homework on price!), June 16, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Nuby BPA FREE No-spill Sippy Gripper Cup 10 Oz 2-pk - boy colors (Baby Product)
1. this is the old version of this cup and is terrible - the spout collapses every time my son drinks from the cup and makes it essentially useless so I ended up just ditching this one.

2. Do your homework on price...I did not and ended up paying at least twice what I should have (and would have with other vendors).

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for Babies who are Teething- Great for Others, July 31, 2009

I liked the idea of having a cup with fewer pieces to clean. The soft spout was a good transition for my little one who didn't like the hard spouts from other cups. Since the spout and valve are the same piece, just a little chewing can destroy the structure of the valve and you can get leaks. You're not supposed to let your child chew on the spouts, but it's bound to happen when they are teething (and even when teething is done). The first spouts didn't last long until they leaked. I found replacement spouts at Babies R Us, and this second set of spouts has lasted much longer since I kept them away from her until the teething was over.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best sippy cup, September 13, 2008

I'm a mom and surgeon. I recently saw a 1 year old boy that fell on his sippy cup and suffered a terrible cut near his eye from the spout. He needed surgery to repair the deep laceration. There is no way something like that could happen with these cups. They are not only soft but really functional. No leaks, and my son loves them.

Love the cups, however I thought I was getting a 5 pack, not a 2-pack. Misleading image with the product. Thought I was getting 10 total and got 4.

I have tried EVERY sippy cup made and this is the best!!! I love this cup because my sons love it and it makes transitioning from bottle to cup an easy endeavor. The only drawback is the fact that the spouts can easily be broken by children who enjoy chewing on the silicone spout. A damaged spout turns this cup into a faucet and must be replaced immediately, but making sure the boys are never allowed to just chew on the spout when they are finished drinking solves this!
