Nuby Nibbler Food Vegetable, Colors May Vary

This is such a great idea and big help in allowing our daughter to feed herself and get more food in her tummy than on her clothes. We cut up bananas and our daughter held on to the nibbler like a spoon and sucked out most of the food. Looking forward to trying other foods. The downside is that it is a huge pain to clean so I might go and get two more so that I can alternate and use the dishwasher. I would have given it more stars if it had been easier to clean.

We have 2 of these. I like that it's hard for our little one to get open- he just can't. I have no problem with it, just push in on the texture part and twist. It seems pretty sturdy with no small parts. The problem I have with it is the netting is so long he just holds that instead of the handle, so he's covered in whatever food is in the netting. Avocado, not such a big deal, but apples are sticky and he was a mess. Maybe another brand has a shorter netting but I haven't checked.

I love the nibbler. Its easy for my 6 month old to hold, and he loves it. He can chew onFrozen pieces of fruit without me worrying about choking. As soon as he sees it he gets excited because he already knows what its for. I also like that the net is removable so much easier to clean than the munchkin. The nibbler I received was pink and lavender. I know it says colors may vary but I wish they were at least gender neutral. So I will order again and try my luck this time as my son really loves this product.

I don't use jarred food or purees for my little one at all. He either gets foods he can pick up & chew on, or I put food for him in this. He's had all manner of food through the mesh feeder, including "mesh tacos" where I put all the ingredients in a standard taco right into the feeder for him. Frozen fruit is his all time favorite though.

He Loves it. Yes, the handle took him a few times to get used to, and sometimes he does hold onto the mesh, but he handles it ok now that he's used to it & this is by far the least messy method I've ever employed to get food from the table to a babies belly.

We tried the munchkin version of a mesh feeder & it sucked. The handle was easier to hold, but more awkward for him to figure out how to point it in the right direction. Thats not what sucked however, what sucked was that while it looked like the mesh ought to come out, an attempt to remove it for a proper cleaning showed that was not the case. I broke it trying to get it out because I could not get at all the nooks & crannies of the mesh. It was either maybe ruin it trying to get it apart, or toss it in the trash cause I couldn't clean it anyway. I love how easy the mesh is to remove for cleaning.

Yes, the mesh holds on to bits of food well, I boil mine once a week or so to make sure I'm getting everything out of it.

If you enjoy causing yourself pain in order to feed your baby, this is the product for you! If not, go with the Sassy model. Opening and closing this is extremely difficult.

This is one of the best things you can get for your baby!!! They enjoy eating whole fruits by chewing on them.

My 8 month old girl loves this thing! she loves frozen fruit in it. I bought a munchkin first but didnt find any replacement sets for it so it didnt work at all. Saw this nuby one and love it! big enough for her small hands to hold. Replacement nets are a lil bit difficult to clean but if put in water just after use, this will help. I will definately recommend.

A neighbor suggested this when we told him our son was teething. We bought a two pack at Buy Buy Baby (a competitor to Babies R Us) while we we were there for something else. We never heard of this useful item before. The price for two was less than buying two individual here. Also helpful, and we did not know this until now, was replacement netting is available.

The good - helps out when your baby is uncomfortable. We've cut up cucumbers, pears and apples. We've also used ice cubes. The handle is very easy for our 9 month old to grip and insert the netting into his mouth.

The bad - as another reviewer said, is it's hard to clean sometimes.

Great idea for a baby shower or a just because gift.

The description said the baby wouldn't be able to open this and that is true because I have a hard time. I like the single stick-type handle and the net comes completely detatched for cleaning. But, it's a pain in the neck to open and close it.
