This has been my 18 month old grandson's favorite toy since he was a year old. At first he just played with the animal "cars", but as he got older he learned to put the track together and run the train around the track. Great learning toy and the track connects with other wooden track brands. I am getting this for my friend who's son is turning a year old. Best beginner train set!
