Wow! What a sampler! And for free? Are you serious? This collection of songs is amazing! Epica is so fun to listen to as always. Music both epic and hard driving. Sonata Arctica's "Flag In The Ground" is incredible. Check out their music video to this song as well. Eluveitie brings their unique metal/celtic sound and this song has it all. Threat signal will blow your mind! Exodus starts off the music with a bang. You won't regret checking each of these bands out. Nuclear Blast has always been a home for amazing music. I have always been a fan and this sampler is very exciting. Enjoy!

I'm a fan of several Nuclear Blast artists, so I have to love a sampler like this, especially a free one! It covers a wide array of bands and sub-genres in metal, from thrash (Exodus, Arsis) to folk (Eluveitie) to death (Nile, Hypocrisy) to gothic (Epica) to progressive/power metal (Sonata Arctica), and it's all current stuff. What more can you ask for?

I'd recommend this to any metal fan, whether you're a fan of these bands or not. Actually, I'd recommend it especially if you're not already a fan. You may discover your new favorite band here.

I've downloaded a lot of bad samplers, and a lot of those have been metal, but this is just one of my favorites. This sampler introduced me to Epica, which is one of my favorite bands. I am currently a senior in high school and I have been involved in music since 5th grade. I am into so many kinds of music, I like metal (obviously), rock, jazz, some country, and even the throat singing of Ondar. I love this sampler and I am so glad that I found it. This album is not only good metal, but it showcases different types of metal. From the Metallica-like sounds of Exodus to the folk metal of Eluvietie, to the heaviness of Annotations of an Autopsy, and to Epica a band that has a female lead singer with a beatiful classical voice, a choir, and an orchestra. This is just a great album. This album also shows some amazing endurance in playing. Track 4 Cryogenica by Annotations of an Autopsy is a heavy song with lots of bass drum. There is a point about 3:30 (it could be 4:30) into the song where the bass drum sounds too fast for a human to be playing, and the guy did it after playing for 3 minutes and then continues to play for a minute or two afterwards. Say what you want about metal, but you have to admire the musicianship and endurance behind these songs. So whether this review helps or not, you should still download this album. If anything, do so just to expose yourself to different kinds of music. And if you don't like it, then get rid of it, it is free so it's not like you're going to be wasting money.
