5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS ONE OF MY BEST GAMES!
This is one of my best games. It has more vehicles than the Soviet Strike game. You have to stop a crazy mad man with a stolen thermonuclear device. The graphics are smoother than Soviet Strike, and it has more levels and codes. There are new vechicle in this game:

3.0 out of 5 stars Just not what I remember.
I remember playing this way back when it came out, but just barely. I do remember it was fun though. Then years later, I decided to play it again for nostalgic reasons. It was ok, but just like with a lot of other ps1 games, the graphics are a little too pixelated. Also it's hard to move on to the next levels. It was a great experience to play an old ps1 game, but I...

This is one of my best games. It has more vehicles than the Soviet Strike game. You have to stop a crazy mad man with a stolen thermonuclear device. The graphics are smoother than Soviet Strike, and it has more levels and codes. There are new vechicle in this game:

Super Apache: It has the same fire power as in the last game.
Sea Apache : This has weaker fire power (missles-75 p)
M1-A1 Abrams: One shot kills all. One shot will kill any enemy.
M-2 Bradly: It takes many more shot to kill a enemy.
A-10 Warthog: This thing smashes tanks like small bugs.
Harrier : This one has very heavy fire power and armor.
Super Cobra : This has heavy fire power but the A-10 has way. more.
News Chopper: This has almost no fire power and not very much armor.
T-80 : This has about the same power as the M1-A1.
Havoc : Mega powerful fire power packed in this chopper.
Hokum : Super Mega armor and fire power in this chopper.

There are other vehicles such as rocket lauchers, hueys, hover craft and the comapache.

I will admit, i went into playing this game a little skeptical, because of the previous "Strike" games, but this one turned out to be the best yet. This game took me many hours to beat, you get many diffrent helicopters to choose from, as well as tanks and hovercrafts too to destroy buildings for fun, or to actually do the missions that will keep you playing for hours.

4.0 out of 5 stars The best Strike Game, May 13, 2000

Gone are the days of Desert Strike on the Amiga and Jungle strike on the Megadrive with their ageing graphics and missions. Great games for their day but prepare now for the follow on from the Playstation best seller Soviet Strike. Fans of the previous Strike games should drop everything and buy this now. Join Earle, Hack and Andrea for another 5 awesome missions to stop the nuclear madmen of the Far East.

The gameplay is much the same as Soviet Strike but this time you can be over 10 different vehicles. There are Tanks, Harrier jump jets, A-10 planes, hovercraft and a number of different choppers to name a few. They are a joy to use (The harrier especially) each with different firepower and armour.

The mission difficulty level is just right and like before you have to think about each phase before attempting it. It is very strategic and you will find yourself protecting trains, commanding an army in the desert, and also watch a nuclear explosion and have to deal with the aftermath. With your co-pilots (who actually do help you this time - check out Cash on the 2nd mission) you get the usual blow up everything in site as well.....

The cinema footage is here once again and makes the game very realistic and enjoyable. There are also nice touches during the game: Andrea is right on form and protecting the bus on mission 3 is hilarious. There is a new compass introduced, which makes gaming even easier without continually reverting to your map every 5 seconds.

Again a patch is needed for 3dFX card users from the EA site. You will be playing this until you complete it and even for the experienced gamers it won't be too soon. EA have a habit of producing games like this. Fanatstic atmosphere and very rewarding - In the words of General Earl `Make sure you don't succeed in giving your enemies more confidence'.

I LOVE the way you can shoot up not just the enemies like some games but you can BLAST most everything on the ground. The graphics are first rate for a PSX. It is a keeper.

Hey, I loved the Strike series, all of them. Why are you guys bashing 'em? I think I can name all right now: Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, Urban Strike, Soviet Strike, and now Nuclear Strike. But Nuclear Strike just isn't as enjoyable as the previous titles in the series. They were challenging, but winnable. Now in Nuclear Strike the levels are so long you become bored; really, many of these missions could have been easily split to form two missions. Another extremly unfortionate thing that happened to the series (although I think this one first happened in Soviet Strike) is that now you are not shown where fuel is, you have to find it yourself, which is very annoying and distracting from the mission at hand. In short, the designers need to look at the origional three titles, and make the next one (and I hope they do make another) more like those.

I have both Strike games. This one is the best out of both. The better graphics then soviet strike and the more fun and challanging levels make it a better game and more fun to play. If you are realy in to helecopter games this is the one. If not games like Army Men Sarges Heros and Metal Gear Solid are great games to buy
