Musical equivalent of a 2 hour orgasm,
This review is from: Nude Dimensions 2, Mixed by Mauricio Aviles (Audio CD)
The tracks being released on the Naked Music Label are an excellent example of the new direction house is taking, and the second volume of their phenomenal Nude Dimensions compilations gives you the cream of the crop. Nude Dimensions volume two is the kind of CD that makes you want to run up to complete strangers and implore them to buy this disc. It's sixty-eight minutes of the kind of pure, all consuming pleasure that you'd think impossible to achieve standing up. Every single track is worth the price of admission, but as usual there are definitely some standouts. There's "Pure" by Blue Six, the same outfit that dropped the delicious "Sweeter Love" just a year ago. It's a sumptuous blend of great lyrics, awesome vocals and a beautiful arrangement. "Always" by Lisa Shaw (definitely a star on the rise) is a groovy, melancholic gem that nuzzles up to you like a lover on a cold winter's night. Solar House's "Got 2 B U" has the kind of infectious four four rhythm that makes it impossible to sit still. Other noteworthy are "Sincere" by MJ Cole, "Superficial" by Bougie Soliterre and "I Need You In My Life" by Undercover Agency. But if you're still not convinced, Aquanote's "True Love" is probably the only reason anyone would need to get this CD. It's sweet, sexy and soulful; a track that seems to embody the very elements that define the Naked Music philosophy. House is the only genre of music that seems to be continuously evolving, fearlessly adopting new rhythms and embracing new ideas, and the folks at Naked Music are at the helm. So do yourself a favor and pick up this CD. Stick it in at your next party and mesmerize your friends.

Excellent Deep Soul House,

This review is from: Nude Dimensions 2, Mixed by Mauricio Aviles (Audio CD)
This is the 2nd in a series of deep soul house. The label, Naked Music, is definitely one to keep your eye one, or better yet - your ear on. They've picked up some amazing talent and are working a unique sound - deep funky House with a San Francisco twist.Very smooth, very easy to listen to with a bit of a down-tempo. Not enough to put you asleep, but not thumping pounding "get up and dance" House either. It's perfect to pre-funk for a night on the town or to chill out afterhours when you finally stagger home. Some tracks get a bit too vocal for my taste, but there's not a single track I skip. Rich bass lines, melodic chimes and seamless transitions blend into an enchantment of sounds you're sure to enjoy. All around, I have to say this is one of the sexiest House compilations I've heard. The track selections and general flow of the CD is more mature than Nude Dimensions I, which is also a great deep soul House compilation, but not quite as rich as this latest. Nude Dimensions 2 has found a spot on my "Top 10 House CD's to Own" list. I highly recommend it as a Must Have to any serious House Head.

Brilliant,

Originally, I heard a few of these tracks on the internet, and I knew I had to own it. Mauricio Avila is a relatively unkonown San Fransisco dj and on this Dimensions installment he puts himself out there and shows just what a dj should be. Avila is like a fantastic lover, he's never too gentle and he's never too hard, he puts you right where you need to be. The second track of Blue 6's Pure gets a fantastic remixing by the brilliant Miguel Migs. The entire cd is wrought with deep grooves and [hot] basslines. Avila mixes records effortlessly, like two ships passing in the night. The dub version of Undercover Agency's I Need You in my Life gets the []vibe underway and its nothing but continual []shakin' from there on. Track 8 is Sirus's Big Ben, the epitome of deep house. And by far the best track is undoubtedly track 12. Cooly's Hot Box track Could You Love Me? is nothin short of brilliant. This installment of Nude Dimensions is without a doubt one of those rare albums that one does not need to skip over tracks. It's a brilliant mix of music and it fits into any situation. I have played it in my car, at work, and at home when friends come round for drinks. This album should be part of any self-respecting house music lovers collection. Its a definitive classic.

Simply The BEST!!!!,

This has got to be the Best Deep Soulful House CD ever made, no lie! I've been into House Music since 1989, so when it comes to REAL House Music, you best believe that I know what I'm talkin' about. I have had this CD for almost a year now and I still play it quite frenqently, only because I can never seem to get enough of it's infectious deep soulful grooves. I highly recommend this CD to anyone that is a true lover of Deep, Soulful & Exotic House Music. What makes this CD so great is the fact that every track on here from beginning to end just gets better & better after every play, you will virtually find yourself being Hooked!!! The standout tracks are "True Love" by Aquanote, "Big Ben" by Sirus, "Losing Conrol" by Astro Traxx, "Could You Love Me?" by Cooly's Hot Box and the Wonderful Remix by Miguel Migs of the #1 UK Hit "Sincere" by MJ Cole completes this outstanding CD. With the ever changing trends and fads in House Music today, it is so nice to find such a treasure as Nude Dimensions Vol. 2 This is the best thing that "Naked Music" has ever released to date dispite they're dissapointing "Nude Dimensions Vol 3". All in all, this is a "Must Have CD" to add to anyones music collection, the DJ (Mauricio Aviles) mixed the tracks suberbly and the result is a true Masterpiece!!!

House for a home,

Have you been feeling nostalgic for some good, old-timey house music? This cd reminds me of the house music blasting from a local college station late at night, when as a youngster I was supposed to be asleep. Much of what is released as dance or house is only woofers on steroids. This is classic deep house disco, with a smooth club feel. Energy for playing in your discman while you run, yet with a lounge feeling perfect for a pool party or backyard barbeque. The album does this and remains free of the garish sound of techno. This is not what you hear from the teen-mobile that rolls up at a stop light, "THUMP, THUMP, THUMPing" like a rabbit on acid. I like rhythm, I just get annoyed when all I hear is a baseline. A few tracks have a strong backbeat, such as Chocolat. The songs also don't have the tinny, cymbal infested sound of disco. "Superficial" exemplifies the album's character; rythym and melody, entwined with vocals that blend euphorically. An exciting feature of this over the techno is that it allows for symphonic elements - build up, crescendo, the use of different themes within the piece to convey a message. A few tracks that I feel have these qualities are Pure, True Love and Always. Many tracks are hard to find labels or artists, some with 12"s available (like Cooly's Hot Box.) A few have albums available, like Blue Six, or are featured on available cd's such as Lisa Shaw. This is another reason that this is a good cd. Because Nude Dimensions has done the footwork, the music is more accessible. Not everyone has a cousin with a basement full of dj records. Amen? Now go shake your booty and have some fun. I rate this record a 4 because it has a number of qualities that make is stand out as a great recording. The music is fun, the sound quality is great and it's mixed for continuous playback. I don't have enough house albums to say whether this is "the best of the best," though I suspect for a compilation album, it's a strong contender.

La Musica de Sexy House,

A refreshing break from all other normal house music compilations already available, Nude Dimensions Volume 2 has come to be known and regarded as one of the standards by which soulful & sexy house music is judged by. From the first track to the last, Mauricio Aviles has compiled an album which represents the smooth grace and vibes that depict sexy deep house music. What makes this CD so attractive in my opinion is the subtle soulful R&B grooves. Special standouts include "Superficial" [#1], "Pure" [#2], and "Aquanote" [#5]. Extra consideration should be given to Lovetronic's Vocal mix of Lisa Shaw's "Always" [#14]: this song personifies the true deep and soulful vibe of house music mixed with a touch of R&B; especially given the beautiful latin percussion sounds at the end of this last track on the CD which back up the soothing vocals. The heart and "soul" of the entire CD can be found in tracks #8, #9, #10. These tracks alone make the album worth purchasing. Miguel 'Migs' remix of MJ Cole's "Sincere" [#10] is the MVP standout track of the album by far. Those looking for the end-all and be-all definition of what "sexy house" music should resemble should not looking any further than this album. It's smooth rhythms and sexy appeal are simply amazing. The producing is wonderful and the arrangement is outstanding. Almost every time I listen to this album I find myself appreciating a different track in a refreshingly new way *each* time. I can not give this album enough mad props; great for giving any party that "sexy" feel, any of these tracks could be found at the best house dance clubs around the globe. Super sexy? You betcha. I am positive that this CD will continue to set the standard for soulful sexiness years after it's original release date. What are you waiting for? Take your clothes off now.

...what they're missing by writing off all house music as mindless thump thump s***. Trippy, erotic and soothing R & B based house music to satisfy your soul.Highlights include "Chocolat" by Afro Elements (track 3), the Miguel Migs remix of "Sincere" by M.J. Cole, and of course the beautiful "Always" by the lovely Ms. Lisa Shaw. But really this record is meant to be listened to (and danced to) as a whole, as an experience or a journey. Truly uplifting.

It comes to me as no surprise that Naked Music is in the forefront of Deep House music. Thier productions fill every respectable DJ's record bags. This CD takes you from sultry vocals to deeper, bootyshaking house tracks.Standout tracks "The Limit" and "Got 2 B u" All in all, this CD is beautiful all the way through. The grand finale is Lisa Shaw's "Always," one of the best vocal house tracks, ever. Excellent job and a very smooth ride.

Coming accross CD's like this comes once in a life time. There really isn't a bad track. The best though (even though I really don't like saying that too often, as tastes always seem to change considerably the more you listen to an album), is 'Pure' by Blue Six, it's a whole mix of pure pleasured beats and nice overlays. Other stand out tracks include MJ Cole's 'Sincere', Solar House's 'Got 2 B U' (I have honestly never heard such sensual bass until this track), 'The Power' by James Perri (which seems to have some kind of Jazz and another Bass influence, but still keeps it in House in style). Lisa Shaw is on here, look out for her in the very near future, a star on the rise. Aquanote, Sirus....this list is enless. I have continually kept hearing of people who put on all these funky house CD's and their living room transforms (?!) into a groovy, laid back, funk retro fun lounge room where everyone's laying back sipping something and chatting. I never believed that, and tonight I actually tried it, and it works! You room really does become one of the grovin' lights there, and this sudden atmospere of this reaxing funky music. Someone wrote on one of thier reviews that this album makes you wanna run out on to the street and pester people until they buy it. I can't explain the depth, funkiness and real house groove until you hear it for yourself...in your own nude dimension. Nude Dimensions 2, for your own listening pleasure.
