you'll eat this bacon and weep because you'll realize what you've been missing all these years ... nueske's bacon tastes as different (and as better) as good tuna sushi does to the canned stuff.

butt-expensive, yes, but worth every penny ... the hillcrest farm, where nueske's is made, is so hardcore that they consider the f.d.a. guidelines for bacon too lax, so they abide by their own standards.

makes a super-great present for any gourmand, gourmet, epicure, or carb-free diet head.

nueske's also makes a pepper bacon, and this one is *much* better. make sure to follow their cooking instructions to the letter (expect almost no shrinkage) and you will be set.

This is a very good product, much less fat than usual bacon. Very good taste.

This applewood smoked bacon is the best I have ever had, and I have tried a lot. This is a thick, meaty bacon with an awesome smoked flavor. At the same time, it is naturally low in sodium so you don't have that funny aftertaste in your mouth after eating the bacon. It is truly the best bacon you will ever eat and is worth every penny.

I discovered Nueske's while working in a restaurant. We used the bacon in a spinach salad, but this bacon is so good recipes should be invented around it.
Just opening the cryopack causes the mouth to water. Perfectly salty, smoky and sweet and there is about 50% lean and both the fat and lean are beautiful.
Be warned: after eating Nueske's bacon everything you will find at the grocery store will be a bland disappointment.

Now if I could just find eggs of this caliber (Grassy Key eggs no longer exist!).

Nobody Beats Nueske's Meat!

Until recently, Nueske's was my favorite bacon. The perfectly sliced lean strips with their heavenly taste and aroma was always a winner on the breakfast table or as an ingredient in my other dishes. The last two orders I placed with Nueske's have been a huge dissapointment. Much of the smokey flavor was missing and the amount grease left over after frying was astounding; leaving me with hardly any meat. The company is now obviously purchasing inferior pork bellies and rushing the processing time. There are many other premium bacons on the market that are worth a premium price. I would suggest to my fellow bacon connaisseurs out there that you give one of these other companies a try and forget about Greaseke's

Great flavor, not too much shrinkage when we cooked it, but a little too much fat, especially for the price. We had to trim quite a bit.

I was very dissapointed in this product. It was no more than 30% lean. It shrunk. It was so thinly sliced on some pieces that I couldn't even peel it away in tact. Its flavor was unremarkable other than extreme bursts of salt here and there. My wife dosen't want to use it for an ingredient in other dishes she uses bacon for. I did give what was left to my dog and she seemd OK with it, but then she has been known to eat poop as well.
Sorry, just being honest. I consume many brands and pounds of bacon.
