Not for beginners but perfect for me,

I have been studying Spanish for a couple of years now and this book is ideal for my level. Although it says book 1 you must understand that you need to know and have learned the verb tenses and a fair amount of vocab'. Yes it is all in Spanish, but you need to familiarise yourself with the language. Use a dictionary or google translate. For beginners this book is not! For me it is great. If you are beginning get Access spanish 1 or Breakthrough Spanish 1 and make sure you get the CD's with the books as the listening will help you to understand.

This Spanish book is TERRIBLE. There is not one word of English to explain anything that needs to be explained, therefore the book can only be as useful as your lecturer is. Mine Happens to be quite good but this doesn't hide the vacuous lack of anything helpful. This text has made Spanish the hardest language I have learnt. I highly recommend you seek another.
