My DJing needs were pretty minimal; I wanted to use PC software to mix outputs via an external source. The DJ I/O filled that need perfectly. This box is relatively inexpensive, it's compact and I found it very easy to install and use with open source mixing software.

I use this for my portable DJ set up.I run a Windows based Laptop with Virtual DJ Pro. It separates each virtual decks into a right and left channel that I plug into a mixer via RCA cables. It provides full, clean sound with absolutely no lag. I have used this card for a couple of parties, it's small and runs off the USB port on my computer, so all I have to do plug it in and I am ready to go.I wish it had XLR outputs though, so I could connect it directly to my JBL IONs without an external mixer. It's still a great value for the price.

I bought this a week before I switched to Windows 7. I was using it on Windows Vista Business 64bit and it worked great along with Traktor Pro, however, it doesn't seem to like Windows 7 at all. This could just be a Traktor problem, but all my drivers are up to date and such. When it did work, the sound quality was amazing. I reformatted last night to Windows 7 64bit and have yet to try it out, but I hope it works better than it did on 32bit. If you can it to work, then it is a great product that I would highly recommend. I have many friends that use this, and the week I did have it working it was amazing.

This product is basically designed as an extension of the Numark Total Control, which lacks a headphone monitor out. Numark has recently remedied this on the follow-up model Omni Control, which includes an internal sound card, but for those of us using the TC to DJ, headphone previewing is a necessity. Just plug this box into the TC, and you have a dedicated 1/4" jack for headphones, a mic thru input, two stereo RCA outs, and a volume control.

I was researching about a good audio interface for my laptop since I'll DJ in small/medium parties. and I'm glad I picked the Numark DJ I/O. is a good quality device and easy to setup with VDJ pro software. All I have to do was to install the CD software for the drivers (Win XP Pro),plug it via usb to my laptop, configure VDJ software, plug it to my speakers and voila! great sound and good performance. Excellent product!

As a new DJ, I needed a card that would allow me to hook up speakers, a mic, headphones, and possibly some monitor speakers. The DJ IO can do all of that and it does it well. This works very well with Virtual DJ, it's easy to set up (if you have the CD), and I haven't had any problems with it.

What I expected:A minimal yet functional audio interface with at least 2 outputs so I can cue on headphones while DJing. What I received: This audio interface seemed to be one of the cheapest ones on the market, so I gave it a try. After installing the drivers, I found that the audio interface worked fine. However, this lasted about a couple hours, then it stopped working. The only noises that came from it were crackling noises. I am returning this product soon. It was most likely a manufacturer's defect, however, I did not like the build quality of the audio interface either (it was entirely made of cheap plastic). I will try the mixvibes umix44 instead.

This product does just what I wanted it to.Using virtual dj you can mix and cue up. This has been a problem until I received this product. Now all my headaches are gone and I'm back in business. Numark, you have done it again, keeping up with the industry standards.

It works well... but had to uninstall and reinstall the driver about 5 times before it started working. Also the control panel sometimes does not detect the device even though it is plugged in. Especially after a reboot. Unplug and replug the device to fix that.Sometimes the latency is messed up. This will take a full uninstall of drivers. Cold boot to reinstall. Cold boot and unplug/replug to get rid of. This is a perfect case of the same sickness CreativeLabs sound cards have: Great hardware but poor poor drivers. |
