Ive had these for a while now. They are excelent quality better then the Denon's Dns-5000. The sound quality is clear, the interface is easy to get used to, and the effects are great. It plays both regular cd's, burned cd's and Mp3 cd's. The platter is extremely smooth and accurate so mixing is easy and has 4 diffrent scratch modes. The BPM counter respons right when you put the track and it has the capability to automatically interlock beats between one cdx and another for those who are just starting out. The search wheel is used for both effects(wet\dry) and super fast search.

-A little heavy

I've been a DJ/ Turntablist for many years and can tell you that the CDX is the closes you can get to vinyl. I love this thing! Plays MP3 and WAV files just fine. One problem it dose have is it ejects the cd when trying to load. It's happened a few times now and I'm getting a little nervous about how long it will last before it stops working all together. I gave it 4 stars because for this problem. All in all it's been a real treat to use.

1st of JOG WHEELS SUCK! If youre looking at this product incomparison to any turntable that doesnt turn, STOP LOOKING.
Ill give you the negative up front. This is twice the size of a vinyl turntable & 4 times the size of any table top. It is heavy; especially once you put it in a flight case for travel protection. Also, with this product no longer being in production you may be hard pressed to find anyone to repair it should the need arise. Numark refers to an off-site repair facility.
With that said, this is the only turntable that has an authentic vinyl feel for modern cd/mp3 djs. When did you ever see a dj scratching on a 45? So why invest in a table top? Plus its a conversation starter. I cant comment on how many people have asked where the record needle was. Once i explained how it worked(my CDXs accompany a Rane mixer & Serato software), they always come back with friends. I bought mine used but ive never been disappointed by them. If 1 were to break, i will be looking for another CDX to replace it. Great for beginners. A lot of features for those using CDs and a standard mixer. Cant speak for the seller but I Love the product. Was sad to see it come out of production

I have been in numerous DJ battles with these. I love them. They perform just as a Vestax PDX 3000MKII would. They have high torq. They are very reliable. I had mine 5 years. The only thing that needs to be replaced is the cd drives after about 3 or 4 years. They need to be replaced just as cartridges do, but not as often. I paid $800 for each of mine, i have 3. I do not regret it. The HDX's are limited, but if you can get a pair of these or the HDX, i highly recommend them. Your customers will appreciate the look and you will appreciate the feel of a real analog turntable! Good Luck and happy chopping!
