This is urban gospel at its best!! This album was so cutting edge for its time that nearly 20 years on, one has to be amazed at the production genius of Fred Hammond. This was the album that turned me on to gospel music. Still sounds relevant and fresh today!

One of the most technologically advanced gospel albums of its time.,
This review is from: Number 7 (Audio CD)
This is the album that Fred Hammond, Maxx Frank and Mitchell Jones as producers are defined by (See Love U for the Rest Of My Life and King Of Glory) It also makes the official debut of Marvin Sapp. Simply put, it is still after 18 years my favorite Commissioned album of all time. Basically covers all ranges of music and all gospel artists (especially Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary) have indirectly took something from this album. Favorite Songs: King Of Glory, We Are Overcomers and Secret Place. The instrumentals may throw you abit if you don't have an ear for jazz however if you do appreciate Fred Hammond's skills then by far and large you will love this album. A Must Have for any Commissioned fan.
