After playing with a friend's double 15 domino set, I knew I had to have some for myself. In my search for a set, I came across these number dominoes. The numbers make it so much easier... with a set up to 15, it can take a while to count up dots to keep score. With the numbered dominoes it is straight addition which is great for my daughter to keep her addition skills up to date. My only complaint (which I forwarded to the domino company directly) is that the nine and six are nearly the same color so it sometimes takes a second glance to figure out if it's a six or nine. I wrote "six" on my six dominoes but the sharpie is starting to smear. The makers of these dominoes should have chosen one of the other more contrasting colors to differentiate between six and nine.

This is a good set. The only suggestion I have is that the manufacturer should play a few games & then analyze the colors. Sixes and nines are too close in color, and several others should be of greater contrast. Aside from that, we like the numbers instead of dots & it helps speed the game up by adding numbers instead of counting dots.

I originally ordered a "Double 15" Numbered Dominoes set, but got a "Double 12 Mexican Train" set. I chose to keep the set I received because the children in my household liked it so much. If I do need a larger set in the future, I will order one. The pieces have large, brightly colored numbers which can easily read from across our 52" round table. The centerpiece if fully functional, keeping the playing pieces stationary (no pun intended). The numbers on each dominoe are of great help to the younger children as well as my elderly in-laws, and makes the game flow smoother and quicker. I strongly recommend this set for the above mentioned reasons, unless you are just a die-hard traditionalist and prefer "counting the pips" instead of using the numbers. G.J. Martin
