Number Dominoes Premium Double 15 Set

After playing with a friend's double 15 domino set, I knew I had to have some for myself. In my search for a set, I came across these number dominoes. The numbers make it so much easier... with a set up to 15, it can take a while to count up dots to keep score. With the numbered dominoes it is straight addition which is great for my daughter to keep her addition skills up to date. My only complaint (which I forwarded to the domino company directly) is that the nine and six are nearly the same color so it sometimes takes a second glance to figure out if it's a six or nine. I wrote "six" on my six dominoes but the sharpie is starting to smear. The makers of these dominoes should have chosen one of the other more contrasting colors to differentiate between six and nine.

This is a good set. The only suggestion I have is that the manufacturer should play a few games & then analyze the colors. Sixes and nines are too close in color, and several others should be of greater contrast. Aside from that, we like the numbers instead of dots & it helps speed the game up by adding numbers instead of counting dots.

I originally ordered a "Double 15" Numbered Dominoes set, but got a "Double 12 Mexican Train" set. I chose to keep the set I received because the children in my household liked it so much. If I do need a larger set in the future, I will order one. The pieces have large, brightly colored numbers which can easily read from across our 52" round table. The centerpiece if fully functional, keeping the playing pieces stationary (no pun intended). The numbers on each dominoe are of great help to the younger children as well as my elderly in-laws, and makes the game flow smoother and quicker. I strongly recommend this set for the above mentioned reasons, unless you are just a die-hard traditionalist and prefer "counting the pips" instead of using the numbers. G.J. Martin

My family really enjoys playing with the Domino set. The problem we faced with the set is we received Double 12 instead of the Double 15. We did not contact the seller about this problem because we thought we made the mistake and opened the package before realizing the mistake. Overall, still fun and enjoy it daily. My sister-in-law is now debating on buying her own set.

Others have complained about the domino quality but I think that they may not have the premium set. These dominos look and feel terrific. The game is lots of fun. The rules are a little more nuanced than you might expect so you will have to play 4 or 5 games before you learn the various exceptions and rare moves. The written instructions are comprehensive but not all that easy to understand. I took this on a recent family vacation and had to do some arm-twisting to get people to play but once they started they got into it. You do need a really large table even with a few players.

Playing with regular dominoes is fine when you have good eye sight. As we aged, my wife's eyesight left her unable to see all the spots on the higher numbers on dominoes when playing Mexican Train. Number dominoes to the rescue.

I played this game at a friends house and had to have it! The kids have really enjoyed playing it. Because the numbers are listed on the domino's, my 6 year old has no problem playing on his own. Great game for all ages.

They are a little easier to match and play than those with dots.

This is such a fun game. I had ordered the 15 tile set but was sent the 12. With being able to go up to 15 tiles the game takes a little longer with 6 people playing. The 12 tile set went really fast; it is such a fun game.

We liked everything about this set except for the '6' and '9' tiles. The colors were very similiar. We solved the problem by coloring in the circle of the 6 with a permanent marker. The manufacturer should put a line underneath either the 6 or 9 to distinguish them.
