As a Kindergarten teacher I had some students who just didn't master the numerals with all the hands-on activities. I purchased this and this has helped them master recognizing the numerals. I associate the date on the calendar to the number page.
These pages have one side to practice writing the numeral, the number name, and a number search. The reverse has a page of cut and paste (working on fine motor skills) and then drawing. I recommend this book.

I love this book! There are two practice pages for each number. The first page teaches students how to write the number, spell the number, and they also have to locate the target number among other numbers. On the second page, students get to cut out and draw different things to represent the target number. My students love working on these practice pages, and I have seen improvement in their performance. I would definitely recommend this product to all primary elementary teachers.

My son has really improved with his writing skills after practicing with this book. It has numbers from one to thirty.
They get to write the number and also spell the number. In addition there are little games like circle the number one from the below group of numbers and also draw one sun or rainbow etc. He likes the book and it keeps his interest and that is a great thing.

I made little books for my children who were having trouble remembering which numbers were which and how to form them. This really helped.

This workbook is a good way to just keep your child busy, but it doesn't really help teach anything. It could be best used as a supplemental workbook to keep them busy cutting and glueing while you are busy in the kitchen or sometehing. Also, I was a bit confused by them having the actual spelled out words for each number. If you have a child that can't count to 5, they definately won't be able to write the word f-i-v-e. I wouldn't recommend this to a parent who, as I am, is trying to give their child a head start for school next fall. If you already have a number of things to help you teach them, this is good just for busy work.
