5.0 out of 5 stars Making skeptics believe.
I have been searching for this book for some years, and finally found it here, in print still. Bullinger shows thru numerical values, gematria, and other mathematical means that "the Bible has but one Author...carrying out His own infinite plans". He makes the mathematician love the scriptures and the religious love math. One of my favorite parts is when he...

1.0 out of 5 stars REFERENCE ON KINDLE
I have found that reference books on Kindle are almost impossible to manuver. You have to read the whole book to find what you are looking for. As example in Number in Scripture and others you have no way of looking up a specific number or topic. You have to go through the whole book to find what you are looking for and many times miss it. I wish there was a way that you...

I have been searching for this book for some years, and finally found it here, in print still. Bullinger shows thru numerical values, gematria, and other mathematical means that "the Bible has but one Author...carrying out His own infinite plans". He makes the mathematician love the scriptures and the religious love math. One of my favorite parts is when he is explaining Dr. Milo Mahan's work on the principle of number 8 and number 13, and he gets passionate with the validity of the Bible, as over and over he demonstrates with gematria that every single name of the Lord's people are multiples of 8 and every one who were His enemies, are multiples of 13. It is one of the only books of its genre that wasn't exclusively written for Jews.

5.0 out of 5 stars As Spock said "Fascinating..", August 28, 1999
Don't miss reading the book along with the Bible. Some of the tidbits in this book are worth a king's ransom, such as where 360 degrees came from, why there are 12 zodiac signs, why certain numbers are used in the Bible, etc. The book helps in making the Bible fun to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good Christian understanding of numerology, June 16, 2005

This review is from: Number in Scripture: Its Supernatural Design and Spiritual Significance (Paperback)
I borrowed this book from a friend, and after reading it, I've decided to buy a copy for myself.
I am always happy to find out about God's original purpose and meaning for things that Satan and the occultists have stolen, perverted, and used for their purposes- things that were meant to help us better understand God and His purposes, which, as it was presented in this book, did in fact do-I felt a whole new world open up for me and I'm not as "afraid" of how I see numerology used all over the world because I understand it better-from God's perspective.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book has been a great faith builder for me, August 23, 1998
By A Customer
Bullinger shows the magnificent orderliness of the Word of the Creator. The book shows how God (YHWH) uses numbers to symbolize various concepts. Each number is always used to show the same concept throughout the entire 66 books. The number 7 is a good place to begin study as it is emphasized. Certain names and words are repeated 7 times throuhout the 66 books even though various men set down the words to paper. Only the Holy Spirit could have designed such order. No man nor computer could have produced such results. Bullinger gives many examples. He provides the original Greek and Hebrew texts in his examples.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great book by Bullinger, December 14, 1996
By A Customer
Here is yet another great book by the insightful E.W. Bullinger. Number is Scripture is fascinating and shocking, as it sheds light on the hidden footprints of the Holy Spirit in the scripture. Readers learn about the significance of what previously seemed like meaningless numbers. Everything in the Bible has a meaning, numbers included.

5.0 out of 5 stars The title says it all., February 10, 2005

This review is from: Number in Scripture: Its Supernatural Design and Spiritual Significance (Paperback)
This is not a book on numerology which is a false religion, this is exactly what the title says - this is a book about numbers in the scriptures. Anything that God creates can be perverted for an evil purpose, this is not what this book is about. This book shows the intelligent design of the Scriptures by showing the supernatural intelligent use of numbers in the Scriptures as well as in nature. If you want to read this book it won't take you much time. If you want to truly study this book, it could take you a year. Great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Find out how awesome YHWH is!, June 18, 2008

This book is incredible! What detail & foreknowledge is involved in the inspired word of God. If you think the Bible is a masterpiece now you will not be disappointed after reading "Number in Scripture." It brought home to me how little we actually conceptualize about the workings of God.

Not only that, but it also helps with finding significance and greater meaning and understanding in scripture.

I had not read up on this subject before & found it truly inspiring.

5.0 out of 5 stars Will help anyone discern between intelligent design and evolution., November 23, 2005
Other reviewers have done a great job of explaining
the value of this book to a bible student. I wish to
point out it's great value for other purposes.
For instance, if you wish to compare intelligent design
to the theory of evolution. It presents an overwhelming
amount of evidence that can't be ignored. Although written
in 1894, on pages 50-51 this book gives the best definition
and explanation of what is today called liberalism that
I have ever read. Very enlightening and worth the price
of the book for the info in those 2 pages alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Numbers In Scripture, August 2, 2007

E.W. Bullinger was a genius and I think every Pastor and Sunday School Teacher should have a copy of this book. It is somewhat technical reading but very interesting to see how numbers are so important in the Bible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much more on scripture than title suggests, August 3, 2002
By
"richardrobinson7" (Tallahassee, Florida United States) - See all my reviews
This is a wonderful book. It is full of keys to understanding scripture. It is also a powerful resource for faith building. It is easy to understand. Although, as Bullinger writes, no book by a man that seeks to elucidate the scriptures is perfect, as is the scripture, this book indicates how perfect God's Word is.
