Great compilation!!,

"El Tri" (formerly, "Three Souls in my Mind") is, perhaps, the oldest Mexican Rock'n'Roll band living act. Formed back in the latest 60's, the band acquired notoriety due its performance in the Avandaro Rock Festival, a Mexican mass concert in the way of Almont and Woodstock. The band leader, singer, composer and bass player, Alejandro "Alex" Lora is a musician with a lot of personality and charisma, particularly within the fans of marginal urban zones. In fact, "El Tri" is the result of the way those non-English spoken fans used to refer to the band in its own particular language. Most of the 70's the band was quite active but remained at an underground level, as happened with the entirely rock scene in Mexico, following the tragic events of 1968 and 1971 and the secret repression established in the country by the system then. During the 80's and taking advantage of a gradual opening in the rock scene, the band increased its presence and after two or three anthems written during that period ("Triste Canción" and "El Niño sin Amor", among others) the myth was born. This compilation is a must for all "El Tri" fans and for those interested in the Mexican Rock scene. The music of "El Tri" is simple, pure and direct rock'n'roll, with a lot of blues influence and their lyrics deal with the everyday problems and circumstances of the young and mostly, marginal people in the Mexican urban jungle. Highly recommended.

This band is a lot older than me, but I've been following them for six years now, and to be able to have this compilation is just a ride... Perfect cd to pop up a sunday afternoon just to chill out or to listen with your friends and to scream all the lyrics at the top of your voice.
It brought back a lot of memories...
