Red Mellow Bush is a premium Numi tea. This herbal tea (caffeine-free) is certified organic and is kosher.

On the box, the manufacturer says it better than I ever could: "Grown in the high desert regions of the Cederberg Mountains, the shoots of Rooibos have been hand gathered by South Africans for generations. It is prepared like a traditional tea, undergoing meticulous drying (oxidation) and cutting. Organic Red Mellow Bush has an earthy vanilla taste and pleasing orange color with hints of autumn straw. Discover the wonders of Rooibos!" What an invitation!

It is my husband's favorite tea, and is pure premium rooibos. If you haven't tasted rooibos before, it is a pleasant, earthy, herbal flavor that most people like.

The price is perfect, a big savings over single boxes. If you like Numi teas, get it---you won't be sorry. If you are new to Numi but love rooibos, I do not think you could find a better source than Numi.

I was happy to order in bulk at a good price. Also the tea is difficult to find in retail shops and was pleased to see that I could get a bulk order at a reasonable price. Also I liked the distinct flavor of this particular brand, and my purchased was based upon the antioxident properties of Rooibos tea. A bonus was to notice that the package was recycled paper product which made an added bonus to my pleasing purchase.

Rooibos is a healthy alternative to black teas. It is naturally caffeine-free and loaded with antioxidants--as much as green tea. This is a wonderfully tasty rooibos with a rich,almost caramel taste when drunk with cream. Brew for 20 minutes or more to make a stronger brew--it never gets bitter like black tea.

Numi gets points for their manufacturing process and packaging. The boxes containing their tea is made from 100% recycled paperboard from 100% post-consumer waste--they assert that by using such packaging materials they save 2,040 trees, reduce landfill by 131,200, and prevent 184,000 greenhouse emissions. Numi uses only 100% natural ingredients without added oils or "natural flavorings".

I was 1st introduced to Numi teas when I was drawn to the artistic, beautiful packaging of Numi's rooibos tea (THIS version with the artistic drawing of elephants in an african savannah) at Safeway supermarket as I needed a small food item but that had an expensive-look to serve as a "community" gift for everyday munching or drinking for coworkers at work for our small kitchen/computer/lunchroom at a prestigious company. After finding their rooibos tea so wonderfully tasting as well as relaxing to my nerves as I get anxious and nervous, rooibos tea has been my #1 breakfast tea to drink in the morning.

Their rooibos is much milder than you find with the more affordable Twinings tea but rooibos tastes a little nutty and you don't need sugar since it has a very mildly sweet taste. I, however, will also add organic raw honey to it to give me the benefits not only of the herb but also the benefits of the organic unprocessed honey which makes it a complete healthful breakfast tea for me.

There's a VERY TINY cut in the corner to indicate where to rip the teabag package but what I don't like about Numi teas is sometimes, the cut is not there and so that same small paper-plastic packaging that holds each tea bag is difficult to open OR when you rip it at the cut end, the rip still doesn't result in the opening of the tea bag pkg - it's protective with tough plastic on the inside and you NEED scissors or else you won't be able to open it unless you're Superman.

But what i love about their teas is that, like another reviewer posted, they don't taste like the usual flowery herbs (like licorice, flowery herbs/roots/leaves, mint, hibiscus, rosehips, etc.) which is what i hate about Celestial Seasonings Tea and why i moved away from Twinings blackcurrant tea when they changed the formula. So you get the benefit of the herb in the tea without the yucky flowery herbal tastes/flavors.

This is a great tea. Add a little soy and its comes to life as a small meal.

I love this deal!

I missed my morning beverage very much until I discovered rooibos. This has just enough bitterness to wake me up without being harsh like some of the chicory-based coffee substitutes and enough sweetness to be welcoming without being cloying or putting me back to sleep. It can take milk and sugar like a nice English Breakfast tea, but I now find I prefer it plain.

I bought this more expensive Rooibos tea (compared to other brands) hoping it would have more flavor. Although the teabag seems to contain more Rooibos it really isn't much more flavorful than the cheaper brands. I am forced to use 6oz. of hot water to steep the tea so it has adequate flavor. I am very dissapointed, especially considering the price. If anybody finds a more flavorful Rooibos please let me know. I am still searching.

I first had Numi tea at a spa while waiting for a massage and loved it so much I looked for Numi Red Rooibos when I got home. I found several other brands, usually with vanilla added, which were inferior. I found Numi tea, but not that variety. So I went online and have been buying it for three years. It's my hands-down, absolute favorite teasan, caffeine free but still refreshing.

I heard about bush tea from the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series on HBO. I ordered the tea which is absolutely delicious!

I've drinking Rooibos tea almost exclusively since I read an article that Rooibos tea (also known as red tea or red bush tea) has the highest antioxidant content of all the teas (five yrs ago). It is also significantly less bitter than black tea and a lot more flavorful than green tea. It provides many vitamins, minerals on top of the antioxidants. Research it and do your body good!
